[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this is a good shaver but it gets clogged up really fast and you have to keep rinsing. I trim my beard into a certain style and I also cut my hair with the razor I shave with. I received this product free from Gillette and I was pleased to have had the opportunity to try this razor. I usually don't have to rinse so much with other razors but that's the only complaint I have about this razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] razor seems well built and feels nice. It is too much for med or less hair, if you have a think beard it is a good buy. I have a med thickness beard and it would dig too deep on the first path with even 3days of growth. I would not use this as an everyday razor but could use it as a once in awhile razor to knock down a thick beard. But it is not an item i would personal buy because of its excessive razor count and constant need to stop shaving and reset in order to not cut myself. overall a nice built and good option for thick beards. I also need to say that this razor would pull on my hairs as i trade to lift it from my face. If you are baby faced or med thickness don't buy and go with another razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the Gillette Fusion® ProShield™ Razor with Flexball™ Technology to test from Gillette. I had let my beard grow for a full week before I tried it the first time, that was a bad idea. This razor seems to be meant for 2-3 days of stubble for optimal use. The initial shave took about 35 minutes, but ones after only took around 5 once I only let my beard go 2-3 days between shaves. The Gillette Fusion® ProGlide™ Shave Gel on the other hand was amazing. That would get 5 stars if that were what I was reviewing.

It has the trimmer end to get that spot right below the nostrils, and the Flexball Technology gives such a nice angle to the blade for getting those stubborn spots under the chin and jaw line. There are moisturizing strips on both sides of the blade which leave my face feeling nice and cool even after I rinse off. Overall, I'm really happy with this razor, and I'll be ordering refills for sure. The reason for 4/5 stars is because I still found that I had to tap the razor against the sink several times to unclog the blades, but that seems to be with any razor I've used.

I started shaving in 7th grade and back then I just had to worry about a few wimpy hairs above my upper lip. Now I'm outta highschool and I have places to be and people I want to impress plus a few more hairs than what I originally sported in 7th grade. Shaving to me was never something I dreaded (luckily I don't seem to have very sensitive skin and I am not too susceptible to bumps or ingrown hairs) but at the same time it wasn't something I enjoyed much either. This began to change though when one day I started getting curious and I wanted to adventure outside of some of the razors I was using (mostly disposables like the Gillette Sensor 2 which is a very nice disposable but not my preferred regular shaver and a couple cartridge razors from Gillette competitors that I had been gifted by family) I tried a safety razor and while I understand the appeal it just isn't for me. While you can get a real nice shave with one it takes practice to not nick yourself and even more practice to get proficient and consistent with one and even upon becoming proficient with one it is still much more time consuming shaving with a safety razor than going with a cartridge/disposable razor. Having had that experience I decided maybe I should look back towards cartridge razors but instead try a different brand and that's when I ran into the Proshield. The shave I get from this razor is amazing. It's quick and close and the 5 blades means there is never a need for more than 1 pass which saves so much time I'd normally spend doing multiple passes with a safety razor to get a similar close shave. The lubrication strips are a nice addition and help make the shave even more refreshing and can be a nice way to tell about how worn out your cartridge is. The handle has a little bit of weight to it which not only makes it feel high quality but also makes it so I don't need to apply much pressure at all and I can just let the razor do its job. Personally I am very satisfied with how much use I get out of each cartridge but this will vary from individual to individual based on your shaving habits, how well you take care of your cartridge, and in general just when you like to swap it out. Just be sure to keep your cartridge nice and clean and to store your razor in a good spot after you shave. Overall this razor has definitely earned its spot in my shaving routine and has made shaving much more enjoyable for me as well as giving me a quicker, closer, and more refreshing shave each and every time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i was using Mach 3 until I see these razor and I get in love with it but I never buy it because I was comfortable with mach3 and my skin is very sensitive so I didn't want to take the risk for try it but I just try it a few weeks and the results are amazing I try it with a little bit of bear and with a very long bear and it work perfectly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In full disclosure; I received this product free from Gillette as a free trial and to specifically provide feedback on my experience with the razor. I have been using high quality disposable razors for about 5yrs now, due to cost and the ability to always have a sharp razor on hand. The Gillette Fusion ProShield has a great build quality and weight to it. The razor blade system also has a single trimming blade on the back which is essential for me. Upon first use the, the razor was great; very sharp and smooth on the skin. My disappointment comes on shave/day 3, where I can start the feel the razor dull and drag across my face. Sure I could switch the blade out, but to be honest this would be less usage than my disposable razor. I think this is the result in to many razors on the blade system; personally I think 3 blades are the magic numbers. As for the flexball, I don't really see any benefit other than a marketing gimmick. I would rather Gillette spend the money on the razor technology for sharper blades that perform longer. In conclusion, this is no better than any other multi-blade razor, and I would expect the blade replacements to be expensive. For me I would plan on using two blades a week to ensure a comfortable shave.

The lubrication before and after the cut really helps with my sensitive skin and helps keep down razor burn. The flexball keeps it in constant contact for the smoothest shave from a manual razor I have had. Definitely my new razor of choice!

I expect to get about a month worth of shaving with just one cartridge which makes the cost well worth it. Did not feel any friction it glides very smoothly and had no irritation the next day (which used to happen to me with previous Gillette razors). Overall a very high quality razor that does the job well and quite effortlessly!!
