[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all I received this product from the manufacture Gillette to review and all thoughts and opinions are my own. After opening the packaging on the Gillette Fusion Proshield I could tell right away that the razor was made of high quality materials. The Body is made of metal and feels like it would handle some daily heavy duty usage. My Fusion Proshield came with two cartridges/blades each having a strip of lubrication both before the blade and after. The cartridges also have a precision trimmer on the back for accurate edging. The cartridges are easy to change with just a forward press on the yellow button at the top of the handle . Shaving with the Gillette Fusion Proshield was a great experience! Just slathered on my favorite shave cream/Gel and noticed that the flex ball technology really helped the blades follow the curves and contours of my face. The result was a very smooth shave and a huge step up from my old disposables. This will most certainly be my new razor of choice!

I have personally used a lot of razors over the years and this Gillette Razor is near the top of my favorites list. The sleek design will draw your eye directly towards the Razor. Only concern I have with the packaging is that there are some sharp edges that may cause cuts. Once you finally use this razor there is no looking back. Very close shave to the skin without any pulling . The multi blade edges cut the facial hair with ease. I would highly recommend this razor to anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as the Fusion Proshield razor from Gillette arrived, my wife took it from me and gave it a test run. She hasn't given it back since. I don't usually look for a close shave since I like some facial hair. She, on the other hand Loves the close shave and the pivot ability from this futuristic looking razor. No complaint here. It will definitely be the razor of choice in this house. Gillette did send me this razor for reviewing purposes for free and I am totally glad that they did. As seen in the picture, it has a permanent home in our shower!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The best thing about this razor is the flexball. It really does help when going around tough places like the chin. I shaved once and trimmed another time. I guess I'm not too impressed because I usually keep most of my facial hair. If you like to stay clean shaved then both the Gillette Fusion Proglide and Gillette Fusion Proshield are as good as anything else on the market. Or even a little better because of the flexball. But if you rock a beard a cheep disposable will do.

It seems like there are is a new technological breakthrough with razors every quarter and I have tried some of with mixed results. Like most guys when I go to pick up a new razor I am overwhelmed with the sheer number of options and get easily frustrated and grab the cheapest razor and go on with my day. Unfortunately my cheapness leads to razor burn, cuts, and ingrown hairs by the end of that razor’s life. So when I received the new Gillette Fusion ProShield manual razor with Flexball technology and a nice can of Gillette Fusion ProGlide Sensitive shaving gel for free from Gillette I was curious to see what they had to offer. The razor itself has a nice futuristic look to it and the weight and construction are solid. It comes with five blades that help cut through stubble with ease on a single pass and leaves a nice close shave. The Flexball is a nice feature but I am most impressed with the spring loaded blade. The spring loaded blade allows you to shave from your neck to your chin and barely move your hand to navigate. The can of Gillette Fusion ProGlide Sensitive shaving gel is rust resistant and does not leave any rust rings on your bathroom vanity unlike other traditional options. The way this bottle is designed helps eliminate any overflow gel and gives you just the right amount of gel that you need. I really like this gel because it leaves you with a fresh feeling when you shave and helps lubricate your face as well. I have been using this razor for more than a month and I have to say that Gillette really hit the mark with this one. The longevity of this razor is just right and the blades do not get dull as quickly as other razors. No more razor burn, cuts, and ingrown hairs for me. Thank you Gillette for an outstanding package!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started using Gillette when the Mach 3 was first released and had since switched to the Fusion style with 5 blades. The Proshield model appears to be an improved version of the Fusion. Usually I trim my facial hair with an electric razor. Then if I am looking for a close shave I will finish up with the Fusion, and now the proshield version of blades. I thought the added lubrication and slightly different design overall proved to be a slight, but worthwhile improvement to what I was using. I will most likely continue using this line and will be purchasing the Fusion Proshield razor refills in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My first impression of the Gillette Fusion Prosheild Razor was great. I liked the weight and feel of the shave with this razor. It has to be the smoothest shaves I have ever had. The packaging of the razor was just as easy to use. Unlike previous razor packaging, the razor and cartridge come out with ease. I tested this razor from day to day shaves and also after 4 days of not shaving over the holidays. It was exceptional in both scenarios. The precision trimmer allows for a tight shave in those tight corners. I would highly recommend to all my friends.

I used to use Schick which very smooth in terms of skin cuts and irritation. And didn’t use Gillette for last 7 years. Decided to try those and was pleasantly surprised and started using Gillette. Very sharp (be careful) and clean shave. Though, heated razor with GilletteLabs blades — worse one. Always cuts, and skin irritation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, I would like to mention that I am reviewing this product because Gillette sent me this product to review. It's a win win for both of us, haha. What can I say about the Gillette Fusion ProSheild Razor? That it is the best razor that I have ever used. I am the type of guy that will shave with anything, 1 dollar pharmacy razors, single blade, you name it I've used it, mostly because I didn't think it mattered. If it got rid of my facial hair for a few days(usually 1 max), great. This wonderful piece of ingenuity is REALLY great. It has five blades, a trimmer for shaping, Flexball technology(so it will move with the contours of your face), and the number one best feature.....The lubrication bars on the top and bottom of the blades. This new feature makes all the difference. Normally after a shave I always get razor burn, not here. My face felt smooth, no irritation, I had no need to itch or apply a razor burn fighter, I was just done. And as a man who needs everything to go fast, eliminating the step of applying razor burn cream is a huge plus. To end this review, I'll tell a story about how my girlfriend felt about my face when she saw it. My girlfriend sees my newly shaved face, says, "Wow, did you use the new razor you got?" I said, "Yes, come feel my face". She placed her hand on my face and felt my skin, and almost instantaneously plunged her cheek onto mine rubbing it all over my face,haha. It was like a ridiculous commercial. She said, "Wow, you need to get this more often." With that reaction.....I will. You should try it too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me first start by saying that I'm reviewing this razor after receiving a complimentary one prior to release from Gillette. That being said, I've been a long time paying Gillette customer. From the Mach3 razors to the ProGlide with Flexball technology I've tried each new update to their product line and here's the bottom line. Gillette finds a way to constantly improve an already great product line. I'm a daily shaver and have used both manual and electric razors. For my regular electric I use a Braun 790cc which is great for a decently close daily shave. But as any daily shaver will tell you, nothing compares to the closeness and precision of a manual razor. I've tried Schick products and even a brief stint with one of the low cost monthly subscription razor services. Nothing comes close to Gillette's quality. The trade-off is cost and with the latest ProShield razor the story is no different. This is a top quality razor priced on the high end of comparable products. With this you are going to get what I find to be the absolute best shave you can get with going to a professional barber for a straight razor shave service. What separates this razor from the pack is the precision blades, lubricating strips, trimmer and the flex action that contours to every curve of your face. At the end of my first few uses I was left feeling like I did just leave a professional barber for shave. Wow! If I had to pinpoint any cons as this is an objective review I would have to state that razor head is not small so if you enjoy a smaller head like on the early iteration of Gillette razors (Mach3, etc) then you may first try the ProGlide before moving straight to the ProShield. The lubricating strips do make a difference but does it warrant a price bump from just the standard replacement blades that go with the Fusion ProGlide Flexball? My personal opinion is no if you're using a decent enough quality shaving cream. There in lies my only other notable con...the price for replacement blades. They will add up and if you're a daily shaver you may be able to squeeze up to a week and a half to maybe two weeks of use before the blade requires replacement. All said, this is the best manual razor ont the market today by a longshot. Are there some trade-offs? Sure there are but name a razor where there isn't. I will gladly pay for the replacement blades on my ProShield because after experiencing the quality of shave and level of protection it provides, I know there is no better available. This razor blows away the closest competition and is light years beyond the subscription market razors. On a side note, the Gillette Sensitive Skin ProGlide Shaving Cream is a worthy compliment to this razor if you're not married to another particular shaving cream. It has the feel, lather, texture and finish of creams several times the cost.
