[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So first, thanks to Gillette for providing the Fusion ProShield Razor for my to try out. I'll start with a few pros and then get to the cons. Pros: 1. The packaging is really easy to get into. I'm not sure if it's the regular in-store packaging, but I was expecting to need a machete to get into it but I was able to use my bare hands. 2. The handle feels really nice and grippy! 3. The 'before and after' lubrication strips feel very nice, makes shaving easy and smooth. So now the Cons: 1. The Flexball, in my honest opinion, isn't that great and seems a little gimmicky. My normal razor is of the standard fixed handle variety, and I don't get any different of a feeling of ease when using the Flexball. 2. I've used the same 'blade' now for only three shaves, and by the third shave I have a slight sandpaperish feel on my lower neck. Maybe these blades are good for only one or two times of shaving? So there you have it. While it's not a bad razor, and I don't know how much they cost, I don't think it's worth the extra money for a razor this fancy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The blade and shave were so smooth I will definitely be recommending this to other shavers. The way the blade curved to fit you face was great and no nicks were very nice. I will be buying refills next time I see them on a good sale

After trying the competition for a couple of years, including double-edge razors, I'm back to Gillette. I decided to try other shaving systems after listening to my wife complain about the price of Gillette refill cartridges (she shaves her legs with a cheap disposable. What does she know?), eventually settling on a double-edge razor. No more. I mostly got tired of the time required for prepping, using, and clean-up with a double-edge, and decided to go back to the Gillette Fusion5 ProGlide Shield razor I had been using before. With the Gillette Fusion ProGlide Gel+Skin Care, I got a much shave better with less irritation than anything else I had tried, plus the prep, shave, and clean-up took about half the time of a double-edge razor shave. Now I'm back to Gillette for good, the brand I have relied on since beginning to shave as a teenager (I'm now 65). One performance tip: A shaving brush with a little water added to shaving gel in a bowl will whip up a luxurious cream that is hard to duplicate with your fingers!

No bumps or irritating skin. the razor is a great buy. it has the flex ball which really helps to get a smooth shave, or and don't forget to get the shaving cream as well, compliments the razor. The Gillette ProShield Razor is all you will ever need to get the cleanest, closet shave you will ever want. The Flexball Texhnology that has been incorporated to this razor makes second to none. I have never had a shave as close as the one as I got with this razor. You will waste your money on anything else. Pick up one of these today and you will be amazed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Gillette sent me the new Proshield Razor to try . I thought maybe just another gimmick but that was not the case . This razor was smooth with the two lubricating strips in any direction I pulled! This is definitely an "edge" on the competition as Gillette has delivered consistently over the years. The new shaving gel dispenser as well has a new twist that eliminates the old mess associated with the old design and locks with the same twist. I love both and will continue to use .

I personally have always enjoyed Gillette razors and this one went beyond my expectations. I did not think the Flexball would make a difference but it really did make for a smooth shave the lubrication before and after the blades work great no irritation and i have sensitive skin. This is a product I will continue to buy and use daily.

I had my reservations when I first tried the razor and shaving cream but I was delightfully surprised. I shave my head in addition to shaving my face so I am always on the lookout for new products. I was really taken aback by how much the Flexball made a difference. I am required to be clean shaven every day for work and my skin can be sensitive which can make for some embarrassing razor burn. The combination of the razor with the shaving cream made for a close shave that actually made my skin feel and look better. My wife said my face had never been softer and smoother, a good thing in her book. The only negative thing is the razor can be a little bulky and takes some getting use to. Other that that I would more than happy to include the Pro Shield Razor in my daily routine.

I've used Gillette razors in the past, but went in search of a more reasonably priced product. After using both Dollar Shave Club and Harry's, I went back to Gillette. There's really no comparison. The weight and quality of the razor itself and the closeness of the shave is excellent. But one aspect that is sometimes missed within the industry is how effeciently the blades rinse free from hair and lotion. This razor gets very high marks from me in this area. I ended up spending quite a bit more time with the other razors trying to get clean blades. This is a quality product. Definitely worth a couple extra bucks over the inferior competitors models.

WOW! Former dollar shave club user here for pretty much as long as they came out. stopped using them because the blades seemed like they were cheaply made, always cutting my face and neck. Never actually used gillette (that i can remember) but looked at the proglide shield to see how it is. ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! This is the best and closest shave I've ever and I'm 42 lol. Seriously blown away, only wish I tried them sooner! As long as they don't use cheaper blades I'll be a customer for life!
