Customer reviews for Gillette ProGlide Shield Men's Cartridges, 13 ct. forGillette Fusion® ProShield⢠Razor with Flexball⢠Technology.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I received my razor free from Gillette as a trial . I have used Gillette and the fusion products in the past and this razor is the best I have ever used , it has a very smooth shave that leaves you less irritated and it has a good weight to it so it feels sterdy and stable in your hand .
Ultimate male shaver on the market
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Fusion Proshield male shaver is the ultimate top- notch male shaver on the market today. With the added lubrication on the blades it helps protect the skin with each shave. The Gillette fusion shaves extremely well and the face feels smooth and soft to the touch after each shave. The great part about the Gillette Fusion shaver is the flex ball which allows the shaver to shave evenly and to the surface of the skin without nicking or cutting the skin like some razors tend to do. In addition, the Gilllette Fusion razor comes with two additional cartridges which makes this razor worth each penny spent. I also liked how easy the razor was to use and the price really reflects the overall product. The blades are super thin and allows the razor to shape to your individual face. I would hungry recommend this shaver to others who are in the market for a new razor that works.
Gillette Fusion® ProShield⢠Razor with Flexball⢠Technology
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my free Gillette Fusion® ProShield⢠Razor with Flexball⢠Technology from Gillette to review a little over two weeks ago. While I will provide more detail below, I will cut right to the meat in my review of the Gillette Fusion ProShield with Flexball Technology and say that overall, this is a high performance razor that indeed cuts through whiskers like a hot knife through butter. Being someone with thick whiskers but sensitive skin â it is always important to me to make sure the razor I use not only has a solid/sharp blade systemâ¦but also has good lubrication built in. The ProShield with Flexball definitely covers those bases. I made sure to give this razor a âreal worldâ test. By that I mean â I made sure to shave with it after varying days of growth. First, I sheaved every day for four days with very good results (both in maintaining a clean shave as well as no skin irritation). Then, I shaved every other day for a week. Still a close shave each timeâ¦and still no irritation. While there was obviously more whisker build-up in the blades while shavingâ¦nothing a rinse in the water and blowing into the head didnât clear right up as normal. After that, I stopped shaving on Sunday and only shaved on Thursday. While the shave was still as smooth as expected it did take a little more work (said a few passes) to clear some spots. This led to a bit more rinsing and blowing into the head to clean it â but I think that is a fair expectation with that much stubble to plow thorough. Since I have been a Gillette user for a years so I had high expectations of this razor. While the shave itself (and comfort of doing so) were exactly what I expected (clean, close and un-irritated) â I will say the only callouts (not really "cons") I found were the following. First, the razor body itself may be found to be a bit clunky or unnecessarily âheavyâ to some. Second, I am not sure what the Flexball does for me if I am honest. To be fair though, that may just be because I have been so happy with Gillette razors and the way they shave for so long (Mach II, Fusion, ProGlide, Power) that I have just come to expect it. I am sure it is meant for better contouringâ¦but, again, since they have been such well-designed razors for so long it may just be unnecessary and may actually contribute to the possibility of some folks finding it to be âtoo clunkyâ as I mentioned before. Third, while I have not purchased any replacements, my assumption is the replacement packs are higher priced. That assumption coming from (as mentioned previously) I have been a Gillette user for years. Therefore, the grain of salt there may just be â you pay a bit more for higher quality. Over all â I like this razor and would recommend it to friends â especially those with thick facial hair or sensitive skin. Even if the replacement razors end up being a bit pricier than the competition.
ProShield vs. ProGlide
I tried both manual razors and I found that the ProGlide is superior to the ProShield. I use the razors to shave my head and I found that the lubricating strips wear down faster than the other razor also the micro comb on the ProShield irritates my skin and gives the shave a coarser feel. It actually feels like I have to take more strokes to get a better shave than the ProGlide.

Maybe the closes shave possible is not a good thing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a free product sample of this razor in return for promising to give it an honest review. After using the razor numerous times, I can now give my honest thoughts. 1) Packaging. I felt like the packaging was unappealing and cheap-feeling. The graphics are mostly just stickers placed on clear plastic, giving it an unpolished look. Also, while I appreciated how easy it was to open the package given its cardboard back, I could not help but feel like the cardboard material gave the product a cheap feel as well. Finally, the color scheme just does not do anything for me. Yellow and orange are not colors I associate with a good shaving experience. Those remind me of discomfort and burning, unlike silver and blue, which give a more smooth and cool feeling. 2) The Shaver. My dislike for the color scheme carried forward to the razor itself. For some reason, all the yellow and orange-yellow colors on the razor were just magnets for dried-up shaving cream. After just one use, the razor looked like it was 2 years old. Also, the razor uses a TON of plastic everywhere - the handle and the cartridge. These plastic pieces do not give it a high-end feeling, much unlike my beloved old Gillette Sensor handle. 3) The Shave. It works. It works maybe too well. After just one shave, I thought to myself that I never had a closer shave in my life, and I still believe that. I could even skip shaving the next day and look as good as someone that just used an electric. Nice. This was all great until after the second shave, when I started getting ingrown hair follicles. After 3-4 days, my four different ingrown hair follicles turned into large, red, pimple-like things (and I am not talking about acne). They got so bad, I actually went and got a facial, the girl confirmed they were ingrown hairs and not acne, and she had to dig the hairs out. Ouch! After this, I decided not to use the shaver anymore. 4) Conclusion. This is the closest shave ever. I do not know how long the cartridges will last, but they were fine after 4 shaves. But if you have sensitive skin, maybe the nuclear arms-race to see who can pack the most blades on a razor is not best for you. I will go back to my trusty old Sensor.
The best razor you will ever use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you now, forget the shave clubs. The Gillette ProShield Razor is all you will ever need to get the cleanest, closet shave you will ever want. Gillette sent me one of the fine razors for free to test out and give you my opinion. I'm not a push over for free product by any means. So, trust me, I love this razor because it is just that good. The Flexball Texhnology that has been incorporated to this razor makes second to none. I have never had a shave as close as the one as I got with this razor. You will waste your money on anything else. Pick up one of these today and you will be amazed!
I like it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have skin that tends to get irritated skin when just one thing goes wrong. It might be the wrong cream, gel, or razor, so I was a bit cautious when using the Fusion razor. It was straight forward, very comfortable and made short work of it. Best of all no irritation. Try it out and you won't be let down.
Gillette, thank you for a good, handy gift!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What's up guys! To be honest I am regular Gillette user. So I can compare this razor only with Gillette razors I've had before. I received Gillette Fusion® ProShield about month ago. Thanks for such a nice gift, by the way ;) And I really like it. First of all it looks awesome. Seems like it's somewhere from the future lol Also, it's really handy and sharp. I usually trim my beard (besides the neck area). The reason why I stopped shaving was because my skin is really sensitive. I used different kinds of balsams and post shaving creams but it never really helped. A couple weeks ago before the new years, I shaved it all with my new razor. And you know what - no skin irritation at all! Once again, Gillette Thanks for a great gift for the new year!
Gilltte Fusion ProShield
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Fusion ProShield Razor is a great product that was sent to me free from Gillette to trial. I also received a container of shaving cream, another great product from Gillette. The razor is the perfect weight and size. The lubrication before AND after the blades is a home run. I have sensitive skin and tend to end with red irritated skin, but that never happened with this product. I ended with a close, smooth, and comfortable shave. I have been using Gillette products since the day I started shaving and have never been disappointed with any of their products. I do have to admit I don't see the need for the Flexball, but it doesn't hurt anything to have it there and may have made a difference I just never noticed. I am curious as to whether Gillette is going to be selling a power version?
Gillette Fusion ProShield
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not your typical razor user. I am a man that uses them for maintaining more sensitive areas, so I can only speculate as to the quality of the shave one the face (I'll spare you that). That being said, this razor was pretty spectacular. After a thorough shave I was left with no razor burn. None! Which is very impressive to me. The product is basically all the other 5 bladed razors Gillette has put out recently only surrounded by strips of moisturizing protectors plus they have added, what I can only describe as, a fine comb at the bottom of the razor cartridge. I can't say for sure that this helped with the lack of razor burn, but I wouldn't imagine that it hurt anything. I have used the flexball technology before now. For what I use this razor for, it doesn't have much of an effect. I will be buying this razor in the future. It is probably all I will use going forward.
