[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As soon as the Fusion Proshield razor from Gillette arrived, my wife took it from me and gave it a test run. She hasn't given it back since. I don't usually look for a close shave since I like some facial hair. She, on the other hand Loves the close shave and the pivot ability from this futuristic looking razor. No complaint here. It will definitely be the razor of choice in this house. Gillette did send me this razor for reviewing purposes for free and I am totally glad that they did. As seen in the picture, it has a permanent home in our shower!

I can't remember the last time I had a smooth shave with a razor. I highly recommend this razor for anyone for looking to have a smooth and flexible shave . This thing is magical... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think the Gillette Fusion Proshield Razor gives a nice close shave, without irritating my skin. I waited until I had a full weeks worth of growth and put the razor to the test. It took a few swipes to fully rid of all the stubble but there was no pulling or irritating sensation from the 5 blades. With the precision trimmer, I was able to get a nice even cut for my sideburns, on the first try! The lubrication strips did such a good job, I felt that I didn't need to put aftershave on. The Flexball technology worked okay with my facial contours but I still had to re position the razor when shaving around my Adams apple to get all the hairs. The razor had a nice weight to it, didn't seem too heavy or too lightweight. It's been four days since my shave and no five o'clock shadow, I would've had to shave again with my old razor in that amount of time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor is a great manual razor, but depending on how you shave, the ProShield may work better. The difference between the two razors is that the ProShield has a 1/8" strip added to the bottom of the cartridge to apply gel before the blades, not just afterwards. Performance with gel: I found very little difference between the two razors when using a gel. In fact, I'd give the win to the ProGlide just because it is an 1/8" shorter so it was more manueverable. Performance with hot water/soap: This is where the ProShield razor shines. It gives the benefits of using gel to most of the face. Due to it's extra length, it is nearly impossible to shave in such a way under your nose or other tricky areas to apply the lube. For that reason, I deducted a star. Overall, the Fusion ProShield is a great option for those of us that don't always prefer to use gel or other treatments. I received this product in addition to a can of Fusion ProGlide sensitive gel in exchange for my honest opinion.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my free Gillette Fusion® ProShield™ Razor with Flexball™ Technology from Gillette to review a little over two weeks ago. While I will provide more detail below, I will cut right to the meat in my review of the Gillette Fusion ProShield with Flexball Technology and say that overall, this is a high performance razor that indeed cuts through whiskers like a hot knife through butter. Being someone with thick whiskers but sensitive skin – it is always important to me to make sure the razor I use not only has a solid/sharp blade system…but also has good lubrication built in. The ProShield with Flexball definitely covers those bases. I made sure to give this razor a “real world” test. By that I mean – I made sure to shave with it after varying days of growth. First, I sheaved every day for four days with very good results (both in maintaining a clean shave as well as no skin irritation). Then, I shaved every other day for a week. Still a close shave each time…and still no irritation. While there was obviously more whisker build-up in the blades while shaving…nothing a rinse in the water and blowing into the head didn’t clear right up as normal. After that, I stopped shaving on Sunday and only shaved on Thursday. While the shave was still as smooth as expected it did take a little more work (said a few passes) to clear some spots. This led to a bit more rinsing and blowing into the head to clean it – but I think that is a fair expectation with that much stubble to plow thorough. Since I have been a Gillette user for a years so I had high expectations of this razor. While the shave itself (and comfort of doing so) were exactly what I expected (clean, close and un-irritated) – I will say the only callouts (not really "cons") I found were the following. First, the razor body itself may be found to be a bit clunky or unnecessarily “heavy” to some. Second, I am not sure what the Flexball does for me if I am honest. To be fair though, that may just be because I have been so happy with Gillette razors and the way they shave for so long (Mach II, Fusion, ProGlide, Power) that I have just come to expect it. I am sure it is meant for better contouring…but, again, since they have been such well-designed razors for so long it may just be unnecessary and may actually contribute to the possibility of some folks finding it to be “too clunky” as I mentioned before. Third, while I have not purchased any replacements, my assumption is the replacement packs are higher priced. That assumption coming from (as mentioned previously) I have been a Gillette user for years. Therefore, the grain of salt there may just be – you pay a bit more for higher quality. Over all – I like this razor and would recommend it to friends – especially those with thick facial hair or sensitive skin. Even if the replacement razors end up being a bit pricier than the competition.

I especially like the way it contoured under my chin and Adam's apple. Also the the prescision trimmer works really well. Thanks @gillette for the awesome free gift.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all I received this product from the manufacturer through BzzAgent to review and all opinions are all my own. The Gillette Fusion Proshield with flex ball technology is made of some really great quality materials . The body is made mostly of metal and feels like it would last a long time even with heavy use. My razor came with two cartridges and are easy to change with just a quick forward press of the yellow button at the top of the handle. The cartridges have lubrication before and after the blades and also have a precision trimmer on the back of the blades for accurate edging. I was really pleased with the performance of the razor. I Just slathered on some of my favorite shave cream/Gel and the flex ball technology really did a great job following the curves and contours of my face. This is a great razor and a step up from the disposables i have used in the past. The Gillette Fusion Proshield is my new razor of choice!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What would I want to know before I get this product? Well, that's pretty simple. The first thing that comes to mind is how much are refill razor cartridges and what's the blade's longevity? Because ultimately, this is what consumers are worried about - how much more am I going to have to pay to continue to use this product. I'll admit, the refills aren't cheap. However, I've used a similar product for almost a year before having to replace the razor blade. Now, one must also realize that depends on the frequency of shaving as well. I currently only shave about twice a week.
