[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picking a razor is rather tricky for me. I have sensitive skin, and my facial hair grows back very quickly. I need a blade that will let me have a smooth shave, and also that won't irritate my skin afterwards. I truly believe I solved my problem with this blade. After a week's use, which was 3 shaves, my skin was smooth and not irritated. This is now my preferred blade to use.

I am a 42 year old bald male who is required to shave every day for work so I am always looking for the best shave. I have been using the same brand razors for the past 6 months so it was kind of exciting to be trying something new. I definitely could tell the difference after my first shave with this Gillette razor. My head and face definitely felt like they got a closer shave and my skin did not feel the usual after shave "burn". I've only had the razor for less than a week so I will have to write another review to see how long the blades last. For now, I am very impressed. Even though I did receive this product free from Gillette, it's really making me wonder whether I should switch from my monthly razor club to Gillette razors...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Gillette Fusion Proglide razor with flex ball technology has been a great razor. I've been using this razor for over a month now and I still haven't changed the blades! The razor glides across your face after a month just as if it were new out of the packaging. The Gillette Fusion Proglide coupled with the Gillette sensitive skin shaving gel have proven to be a great combo. And with the longevity of the life of the razor blade as well as the shave gel it will fit any budget. Overall I am very satisfied with this product! Thank you Gillette and bzzagent!

I recieved this in the mail this morning for Free! This razor came in a box saying happy 18th birthday. After using many other razors previously I can say this is the best razor you can get. I wouldn't recommend any other razor. I will definitely recommend this razor to all of my friends and family.

It gave me a very close shave without any nicks at all.. I use to use a fusion power and will definitely be purchasing a powered version of this if Gillette makes one!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved a free proshield razor in the mail two weeks ago.at first,I wondered what would be so different about it,since it resembles the standard fusion line.wow,was I wrong!!!the razor glides so effortlessly on every part of my face.I have sensitive skin,and was used to seeing redness and patches after shaving.this new fusion left no abrasion whatsoever.after a week of using it,I was actually able to shave without gel,which is awesome,because I don't always have time to prep my face.I have shaved every single day since I got it and the blade still feels as if I just took it out of the package.I can tell that Gillette has definitely improved upon their blade longevity.I am so excited about this new and very innovative product,and encourage everyone,especially guys like me who have sensitive skin,to get one yesterday!!!I will not shave with anything else from now on!!

Lives up to it's Gillette history. I have my Dad's Gillette razor abd blades as a keepsake. It is a great product, has improved smoothness of use, which is good for sensitive skin. And it handles easily and is well built. I would definitely give one to each of my three sons! This is a dependable American company, one I want to support.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me first start by saying that I'm reviewing this razor after receiving a complimentary one prior to release from Gillette. That being said, I've been a long time paying Gillette customer. From the Mach3 razors to the ProGlide with Flexball technology I've tried each new update to their product line and here's the bottom line. Gillette finds a way to constantly improve an already great product line. I'm a daily shaver and have used both manual and electric razors. For my regular electric I use a Braun 790cc which is great for a decently close daily shave. But as any daily shaver will tell you, nothing compares to the closeness and precision of a manual razor. I've tried Schick products and even a brief stint with one of the low cost monthly subscription razor services. Nothing comes close to Gillette's quality. The trade-off is cost and with the latest ProShield razor the story is no different. This is a top quality razor priced on the high end of comparable products. With this you are going to get what I find to be the absolute best shave you can get with going to a professional barber for a straight razor shave service. What separates this razor from the pack is the precision blades, lubricating strips, trimmer and the flex action that contours to every curve of your face. At the end of my first few uses I was left feeling like I did just leave a professional barber for shave. Wow! If I had to pinpoint any cons as this is an objective review I would have to state that razor head is not small so if you enjoy a smaller head like on the early iteration of Gillette razors (Mach3, etc) then you may first try the ProGlide before moving straight to the ProShield. The lubricating strips do make a difference but does it warrant a price bump from just the standard replacement blades that go with the Fusion ProGlide Flexball? My personal opinion is no if you're using a decent enough quality shaving cream. There in lies my only other notable con...the price for replacement blades. They will add up and if you're a daily shaver you may be able to squeeze up to a week and a half to maybe two weeks of use before the blade requires replacement. All said, this is the best manual razor ont the market today by a longshot. Are there some trade-offs? Sure there are but name a razor where there isn't. I will gladly pay for the replacement blades on my ProShield because after experiencing the quality of shave and level of protection it provides, I know there is no better available. This razor blows away the closest competition and is light years beyond the subscription market razors. On a side note, the Gillette Sensitive Skin ProGlide Shaving Cream is a worthy compliment to this razor if you're not married to another particular shaving cream. It has the feel, lather, texture and finish of creams several times the cost.

It might be the wrong cream, gel, or razor, so I was a bit cautious when using the Fusion razor. It was straight forward, very comfortable and made short work of it. Best of all no irritation. Try it out and you won't be let down.

The flexball helps get the facial hair that most razors are almost impossible to get to... The lubrication strip at top and bottom of the razor ensures there's no friction coming or going... I tryed it on long facial hair to put it to the test... It passed trust me... Clean smooth shave... Great product I highly recommend it
