This came at a great time as we are remodeling and needed new smoke detectors. It was very easy to install. We tested it out and for such a small device, it packs a punch with the alert. We will be purchasing more of these for the rest of the house.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s a smaller and sleeker smoke alarm. Easy to install, came with clear directions and easy to use mounting bracket. The bracket is marked so if you hang it on the wall, it’s sits correctly. It also has a safety feature that you cannot place it in the mounting bracket if the batteries are removed. I thought that was helpful. It is my understanding that smoke alarms are only good for 10 years. So I wrote the date of install on the back of mine so I know when to a) change the batteries annually and b) when to replace the device. I included a video of testing the alarm. It has the standard loud chirp.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Kidde detect smoke alarm for free from Influenster and Kidder for my honest review. The design is compact. I like that it uses AA batteries instead of 9volt. I always have AA’s around my house. The alarm is loud and would easily wake my family. Easy to use. The alarm is a little sensitive. I’d rather know it will go off easily than wonder if it will go off in an emergency situation. I’m looking to replace all of my smoke detectors due to age. I will be buying this same model for the replacement. Great product.

As someone with natural gas heat this smoke detector also serves as a carbon monoxide detector as well. We just bought a home we are remodeling and this thing will come in handy. Once we inserted the batteries it was extremely loud so you will definitely be able to hear it definitely be able to hear it!

He says it is a very good, high-quality brand. We installed it in our basement hallway. It was very easy for him to install. It's not as sensitive as many others, but it's efficient for sure. We tried it out. I'm not sure how long the battery lasts since we haven't had it for a long time. But I love that it came with batteries. The sound level is great. I'm satisfied with this product, and it actually makes me feel safer in my home.
