This is a solid drugstore retinol cream that actually does what it claims to do. It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy feel. The fragrance-free formula is great for sensitive skin, though it can still cause a little dryness at first (as most retinols do). Fragrance-free is always and actually the only way to go. The FDA does not regulate “fragrance” in products. So companies are allowed to put whatever terrible things they want to in products and never have to disclose what those things are as long as they label it as “fragrance”. So if you value your life, health and safety, stay away from products containing “fragrance” as a listed ingredient. However, with consistent use the product helps smooth fine lines and even out skin tone. Not a miracle in a jar, but definitely a solid addition to a skincare routine.

Very gentle while working to help minimize fine lines and wrinkles. After 1 week I have noticed a difference. My 11's are lessened which I am so happy about! I anticipate even more wrinkles disappearing with continued use. I love this cream!

I began using this cream on January 29th 2020. After I read the instructions I was already prepared to feel "mild redness and warm tingling sensation" but this was beyond that.. my face was on fire I was on excruciating torture with the itchiness.. although I was hopping that will go away and gave it few more days taking a break for a day in between, but I can't take more of that torture it itches it's horrible even after washing my face... please help..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this product for 7 days straight and my skin is very even toned, not irritated and it really smooths out the lines around my mouth. I was very diligent with remembering to use it everyday. I'm very interested to how my skin will look with a couple more uses. It's a big plus that the repair cream is unscented, sometimes the scented stuff is to overwhelming. I love neutrogena products, they work so well together when using a few different ones.

I started using Neitrogena products including the facial device, once in the morning and in the evening, absolutely no change at all with any of my wrinkles. I know that you advertise immediate results in a week. Bit I figured that with anything you should give it sometime. I have been using these products for over 4 months and I feel like it's been a total waste of my money. ..

I really like the formula of these retinol creams. I suspect the retinol percentage to be around .5 based on where retinol falls in the ingredient list. This is a very hydrating retinol but I still use a serum before and a thicker moisturizer after. This doesn't contain many other antioxidants other than the retinol, but it does contain many hydrating ingredients and moisturizers. Bought for my mom, after only using it two times her face became all red and her eyes were swollen so bad she couldn’t see. Her face looked like she had been in a boxing match, very painful and upsetting. This product needs to be removed from the market! If there was a no star rating that’s what I would have given.

I use a lot of retinol serums and creams, most of them from overpriced luxury brands, and I was skeptical as to whether or not this drugstore brand retinol cream would hold up next to them. I’m happy to report that it does and checked all of the boxes for what I look for in a retinol cream— it absorbs well, plays nicely with my other skin care products, did not irritate my skin, felt lightweight, and made my skin look and feel great. The only thing I would suggest is different packaging. I don’t like dipping my fingers into a product that I intend on putting in my face more than once. It would be better, more hygienic, if it was packaged in a bottle that dispensed the product. But all in all this is a 5 star product and I look forward to seeing how my skin looks after using it for a couple more weeks.

The first time I used this product, my face felt like someone poured acid on it. Under my eyes and my nose immediately had huge red splotches that no make up could hide. I don't recommend this product because when the red spots cleared, my face peeled like it had been burned.
