Smart TV

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 2 weeks AGO. I need it mainly for regular channels. I HATE IT!! When I turn it on, it goes straight to the streaming and I have to look through the settings just to find regular tv broadcasting!

Excellent picture, complicated navigation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a tv this particular size. I wanted a roku operating system. Its easier to set up and navigate. But the store didnt have one in the size i needed. This vizio has an excellent picture. But set up, navigation and the app interface are more difficult to work with

Use to watch, not to actually use.

I'm not a fan of this TV, but as my parents told me; you get what you pay for. This is the newest TV in the house, so you would think it would be the best, right? Wrong. If I could return this TV, I would. The clarity isn't an issue, it's the features, or lack of, that I do not like. I purchased this TV to replace my older 42" Vizio because the old TV is app-less, cannot connect to the Wi-Fi, and screen sharing also didn't exist at the time. So with the older TV still working, why not just get a new replacement from the same company, right? Wrong. I have this TV set up in my work office, for days when I can work remote from home. 1) Spotify, YouTube, Crunchyroll, and other apps. - These apps are either unreliable or unavailable. There is no app for Spotify or Crunchyroll despite having an "app store". My guess, is whoever has more money than needed to buy their app into Vizio. So I am forced to connect to the TV through the app on my phone. While streaming music from my phone to the TV, it never auto-plays, despite having that feature ON on Spotify. So after every single song, I have to operate my phone and select the next track. I do not have that problem with my TCL from 3 years ago, my Roku from 4 years ago, or my Sony from 10 years ago. After about 1-2 hours of playing music, it automatically closes Spotify and goes back to the Home Screen, despite me clicking skip songs or repeat the previous, aka it's not "sleeping". -The Youtube app is lackluster. - No Crunchyroll app despite having an "app store". 2) Google Chromecast, Air-Play, and Crunchyroll streaming. - The company must have signed a deal with Apple. There is a dedicated Air-Play mode, but no Google Chromecast. So my tablet and phone (Fold 7) have difficulty with the TV. Despite having stable internet speeds of 700 MBs, it still loses connection, appears laggy, and pixelated on some screen sharing. - Cannot comment on Air-Play as I don't own any Apple products. My guess, it's the best thing about the TV. 3) Visually, the TV isnt bad. Colors are okay. 4) Audibly, the sound is decent. Somewhat liking the surround sound option. 5) No issues with major streaming services like Disney or Paramount. For the price, if you just want a viewing screen, this is a solid choice. If you want more features, definitely go with a different brand.

Wow..amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tv was purchased from my in-laws for my daughter as a Christmas gift. Once the tv was set up, it was time to sign into all the streaming services & I was in awe at how quick and easy it was. The best part..you can download an app where you can use your phone as a remote control. My daughter is enjoying it!

Picture fine. Smart features poor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought 2 days ago. Navigation in apps very slow. Sometimes freezes in app (ex Hulu) requiring exit and restart, only to freeze again. Not a big issue for me, as I was using Roku on a smaller, dumb TV, so just moved it to this one and works fine.

Mixed rating

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought 2 Vizio TVs. 65” TV is working fine. 42” TV, the icons do not all come up and it's different each time you go back to the home page, which icons come up and which ones do not. ?!? I returned it, got a different one, does the same thing. I give up!

Go with something else

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this tv and you gotta download an app just to turn on the tv and they want half your life information and access to take most of your privacy away. It's gotten outta hand. Never will I buy a Vizio again.

Vizio is our go to

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am now on my third Vizio tv and it is honestly my go to brand tv. I started off with a 32” back in 2014 that only just now has fully crapped out on me. We have a 70- something inch in our living room that has been great and just added a 40” in to the family. It's easy to use, easy to reset if settings get funky and is just sleek and not super heavy. I like the picture quality and it's not insanely expensive.

What I Think

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well I haven't bought a new TV in quite a number of years. The last flat screen TV I bought was probably I'll just say 10 years or so. So getting a TV with all of these gadgets on the screen and all of that was brand new I had to have a friend help get it online. And I'm still getting used to it. Because it's a smart TV and actually I'm not too smart haha. I just came to getting Roku about 2 years ago and I love Roku except this is a smart TV and it doesn't have Roku and now I have to learn how to go through and learn how to operate this tv. Only because some of the shows that I liked on Roku are not listed on the smart tv. And the one thing I've noticed and maybe this is just the internet or streaming is really slow but when I go to click on something it takes a few minutes for it to come on and I have to wait and wait whereas on my Roku TV which is now in my bedroom I just get it right away. So I'm not really sure. I kind of like the Roku better than the smart TV but I will play around with it and I'm sure I'll get used to it

Didn't think I needed it but I love it!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've only had my TV a week and I'm wondering why I waited so long to purchase a Smart TV. I really bought it for the company that visits me, is what I told myself originally but I've already enjoyed the company. I'm handicapped and wheelchair bound so it's nice to have noise in the house.
