[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got this Nest Doorbell a few weeks ago and I love it. I don't have to worry about my house if I am gone and the camera quality is second to none. It has a clear picture that is synced with an app where you can view the doorbells security cam as well as review videos. Comes with easy to read instructions which makes the installation easy. The build is very good and seems sturdy. The rechargeable battery makes it easy to place anywhere without relying on wires. Overall, this a very cool home security device that can give you peace of mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to get this installed and going. Lets start with the build. The construction seems very solid, good material. Camera lens has no protective cover, shouldn't be an issue so long and no one or anything touches it. The "doorbell" button seemed a bit on the unstable side, if a careless person decides to press the button too hard. Still on the fence on this issue. The button can be pressed anywhere and work, however the top and bottom depress further than in the middle and thus seems to be the "weak" point. It comes pre packaged with an angle bracket so you can mount the doorbell on a side wall next to the front door for those tight entry ways. The actual doorbell just slides onto the mounting bracket and can be released by an also prepackaged key way you slide into the top of the unit to release the "set button" holding the unit in place (kind of like the way you release the slide to install a sim card in a phone). Installation: Was a breeze and should be easy for any first timer doing a self install. You can wire it to an existing doorbell, in doing so with allow the doorbell to utilize the current chime box on the inside of your home. The unit comes with 2 wires to connect the existing wires from your already installed doorbell to use the chime unit on the inside. If no current doorbell is installed, don't fret as this can be operated as a standalone unit running on batter power. Estimated operating time on batter power is roughly 2.5 months. This also varies greatly on the amount of use, obviously. Set up: Nest has now become Google so the Nest side is migrating to google. However, you still need to set up a Nest account and migrate it to your existing (or new) Google account. This set up can be a bit of a hassle but is a necessary evil for the use of the doorbell. After setting up your account, you connect the app to the doorbell and enter your wifi password to enable the doorbell access to the network. Use: This unit has good flexibility in way of use. You are able to set up routines, facial recognition, and even recognition for pets. When activated, the doorbell, it send a chime to your phone(s)/device(s) (you are able to connect multiple google accounts to the google home app account to allow access from all those in the home at once). This is a great feature so anyone can (answer) your door. You are able to communicate with the person at the door in real time, which is a great feature. The unit has a "night vision" mode and is actually, to my surprise, very good video quality. Through the app, you can pull up your doorbell camera at any point in time and view in real time the video at your front door regardless if anyone is there or not. The unit will alert any other devices on your google home account when the doorbell/video is activated. I recognizes anyone carrying a box or something that looks like a box as a "package" and alerts you that the package is at your front door and even tells you if it doesn't see the package anymore. This is awesome in the event someone steals your package it'll alert you when it is gone. Cons: It's not known how long Google will keep the use of Nest products in operation. As of now, through my research, I have seen up until and through 2024. I was not thrilled with having to set up a nest account and tie it to my google account to use the unit. This unit CANNOT be used with the Nest app, you have to use the google home app to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest Doorbell is an extremely well made electronic component that has very versatile features. The camera captures a full grown delivery person from head to tow as well as the package being left on my porch. The resolution is outstanding not to mention the camera's ability to recognize repeat visitors and family who come to the door. The Nest Doorbell is very easy to install and the accompanying software is very user friendly. The only drawback for me is that the device shuts down in extremely cold temps in an effort to save battery life. This is not a big deal for me as it comes back online as soon as the temps rise a bit. Overall a great product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is what my house was missing! Really Really simple to install! From start to finish it was under 10 minutes. We connected it with our Google Nest Hub and now when anyone is at the door we get an alert and can see it through the nest hub, we now know who's at the door before opening it. We also get alerts when packages are delivered to house when we are at work! Not to mention the capability of being able to speak to whoever has come! It captures and stores images and video of who has come, which is a great security feature that I had really even thought of. I am so very pleased with the Google doorbell, it makes me wonder why I didn't get one sooner!

Visibility is wider than I expected and it's smart enough to tell the difference between ap car, papckage,package, animal and person. Only thing I'm unsure of is the life of the battery but time will tell

Great camera, responsive, the package detection is stellar, voice coms is crystal-clear, and the battery seems endless. One problem, visitors don't seem to know it's a doorbell. Everybody just knocks now. Maybe if the ring light around the button was wider like the old Ring we replaced?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nest Doorbell was easy to hang. The doorbell seems way to oversized and takes up more space then a average doorbell. The instructions were a bit confusing to set up at first. Like the battery option but worry that it will be overlooked to charged defeating the doorbells purpose of video.

This is an asset to any home and works with Google it's a must have especially when you receive a lot of packages at your door it has real time video monitoring from your phone from anywhere.
