I think this toaster looks great and is easier to clean than the average toaster. but I don't feel like it puts out much heat or does much toasting. I mean it'll get the job done but it takes a lot longer and things just don't seem as toasted. overall fine, just not great

Just received this. Tested with regular white bread and English muffins. Ran several consecutive tests. Excellent! Toast evenly on both sides, I prefer my toast on the lighter side. Found after a few attempts, that #4 produces a nice light toast as I like it. On several uses in succession, DID NOT alter the toast color, they were consistent. On the #4 setting toasting time was under 2 minutes. Much faster than my old Breville. Upon completion, toast DID NOT fly out of the toaster as many reviewers have said. Again, I find it to be consistent, perfect toasting results, quick time and no "launching" of bread out of the toaster. A good choice. Don't believe the negative reviews.

I bought this toaster since it was reviewed and rated well on Serious Eats. I love the look of it and that it has a window for viewing. But in my own experience, nothing ever comes out evenly toasted. My bread is consistently over cooked on one edge and undercooked on the other. Disappointed since I love Serious Eats and trust their reviews, but I just haven't had the same outcomes after two years of having this toaster and using it almost daily. I'll be replacing it soon.

So far I like this new toaster; however, there were no instructions included concerning the preset buttons on the toaster, which are: Defrost-Reheat-Bagel. I'm not sure exactly how these work or how they interact with the heat settings (i.e. some appliances have you place a bagel cut-side a certain direction because the heat will be more or less directed). I would suggest the company rewrite, or at least include the informational pamphlet that's placed in the packaging. Therefore I've deducted 1 star. I've also experienced that the first piece of toast is a little 'underdone' when starting off due to the toaster 'warming-up' (The reason was that it uses quartz rods instead of metal wires as the heating elements, which is more consistent and high end) and then the second piece of bread is toasted correctly at the 3.5 setting.

I just received this yesterday and here are my first impressions. It was packaged well and received with no damage. It appears to be well made and of good quality. It toasts sour dough bread well but did require 2 cycles to toast to my liking. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just getting accustomed to the toaster and settings. It does equally well for toasting frozen waffles. The glass front is a great feature as it allows you to see what you are toasting for the perfect result. Overall it's a great product so far and I would recommend.

I had high expectations of this toaster based on ATK reviews but it has not lived up to the hype. It is consistent, which is more than I can say for our last toaster. I do like that it has a window so I can truly toast to our preferences. It does not hold two slices of basic brand bread without overlapping causing one corner to toast too much. The toast settings are very light. The lowest setting or two just seems to warm the bread. I would have liked to have given 31⁄2 stars.

Toaster is great! Looks nice on the countertop and I love that you can see how dark the toast is.

Saves on counter space and works great!

When the toast pops it throws it out of the toaster and onto the counter.
