Ready to eat

The texture of this was absolutely horrendous. I wouldn’t even feed this to my cat. My husband, who will eat almost anything, hated these. I made the whole batch so excited for an easy and quick meal and I’m upset I wasted an onion and pepper on this. Do not buy.

After trying the chicken by the same maker we thought we’d try the beef the chicken was actually pretty good but the beef was not good. At all! The meat was mostly very tough, chewy and fatty and inedible (and I am not a picky eater). I ended up throwing it all away as it was not salvageable for anything. Don’t waste your money on this product!!!

The quality of the meat was not acceptable. Mushy meat ??? Really strange spongy texture to the meat. Feels disgusting in your mouth. I bought these to make steak quesadillas. I picked through the Bag-O-Meat to find the few (and I mean FEW) pieces that resembled meat. Even those were inedible. The texture is very off putting.

I’m not sure what happened to this product but I usually buy ALOT of it. Suddenly, I open packages and it’s tinted green or gray definitely not pink or an appetizing brown. I check dates. Then I open ALL of them up trying to see what has gone wrong? Is it a specific batch? No. Could it be a vacuum seal issue letting air in to turn the meat. Is the meat bad? It’s interesting my customers don’t order steak on their fajita bar anymore?

I have enjoyed some tough marginal beef before, but this was beyond that for me. Chewed for a good while and gave up. Tried a dozen different pieces and only a few were good enough to swallow. We even fixed it in a skillet as recommended. Poor meat. Sad, will never buy again. It looked good, but wasn’t.

The Chicken Fajitas is a great product! However, this Angus Beef is not at the same standard. Every strip is extremely fatty, mushy and gritty. It just dissolves in your mouth like sand, most likely because too much chemical meat tenderizer is added. Unfortunately, I bought 10 bags for my freezer. I donated to a local charity.

I bought these yesterday and prepared them today for supper. They were not good. They didn't taste like fajitas should, and the texture was not good. It was as if they were not the right cut of meat. They smelled like they had been marinated in soy sauce.

Do not buy. I was being lazy and wanted something quick so I picked these up for some quick fajita tacos and regretted it upon my first bite. The meat is a weird texture as well as the taste. If you have had real fajitas then you know that this is not fajitas.

I rarely leave reviews but had to on this product. I thought it would be a handy way to prepare a quick easy meal. We sliced onions and peppers, put it in a skillet and served it up. We took two bites and were very dissatisfied. We removed the meat and ate vegan fajitas. It tasted old and we couldn't eat it.
