This ice maker worked great at first then after only a month it stopped working properly It would freeze all the ice together and not produce any more if you buy this ice maker buy the warranty through sams because the company that makes them are absolutely no help

Works fast. In the first 8 minutes I had ice cubes. The ice tends to drop wet so when you’re going to store in the freezer as I do it will stick to one another. I use my ice to put in a cooler so it doesn’t matter for me I just break it up by hand or in a grocery bag. For quick and fast ice this machine provides just that. It’s not like an ice machine that a fridge provides so don’t get if you think that’s how it works it doesn’t. Just a quick convenient alternative or for hurricane preparation so you’re not suffering from a heat stroke. Still a great buy I love it.

Exactly What we needed- Fits well on the counter it does need room on each side. We had to stop using the ice maker in our fridge due to water issues in our area- this makes enough to fill the fridge ice maker instead on any given day. Takes 9-10 minutes to start making the first batch. It is a lil loud but u get use to it. Turn it off if u want to take a nap it is annoying when it wakes u dumping the ice. Overall, it is exactly what we were looking for.

This was a good ice maker it makes ice fairly quickly and frequently but it does not keep the ice that is made frozen ice begins to melt immediately and it isn't practical to put ice into freezer as it then clumps together into a solid block of ice. The description says its covered by the Sam's club member satisfaction guarantee but I'll be darned if I can find exactly what that means. The makers use the least expensive and lowest quality materials to get the most profit, save your money unless you wish to buy new machine every year

I bought this product less than 6 months ago. It recently stopped working. I followed all of the Curtis recommendations. It still does not work. After frustration set in, and the Curtis representatives hanging up on me several times, they told me that my name has been flagged in their system and they will no longer help me with my defective product. So now I have a $100 paper weight.

First off, I haven’t had any of the problems a few others have reported. I was given this as a gift for Christmas. It’s now April. I'd never even considered getting one, but I love the ice this makes. I chose small bullets and they're the perfect size, plus slightly soft so I can chew them without tooth damage. There’s a larger setting, which takes a bit longer to make bigger ice. The machine works pretty quickly at the small setting and doesn't have to be attended every minute, so I can make ice while I'm doing other things around the house. I occasionally scoop out the ice and transfer it to a quart sized Ziploc, then lay it out flat in my freezer. This keeps the bullets separated. I like to do 3 bags and I can add to the bags in a rotation, so the cubes don’t all stick together. The ice maker is not as noisy as I expected either. When I've made a decent supply, I just wipe out the reservoir and put the maker away. (The top of mine looks a bit different from the picture.) This is sturdy and easy to keep clean. Now I'm spoiled, I'll have to buy another one when I wear this one out.

I received this as a gift for Xmas 2021. The fan on the first unit began to fail after 5 months. The return process was so arduous I waited for it to completely fail which occurred at 11 months. I went thru the process which including paying $25 to ship it to Curtis. The unit they shipped back didn't work. They wouldn't respond to my emails so I fixed it myself (bent refrigerant line blocking pinching water tube). I finally got them to respond and asked if the warranty would be extended since I wasn't certain if I had hurt anything. Nope. Warranty already expired. Now a cheap plastic part on the shovel broke. These things are junk. Sam's Club should consider not selling them anymore.

I wanted to buy a pellet ice maker (for sonic type ice) but the $400 price tag along with bad reviews from people who had multiple problems with them made me look elsewhere. I decided to try this one and love it. If you like the “soft” crunch of the pellet cubes you will love it too. I actually think I may like these bullet cubes better. Hope it lasts a long time.

This is review is for the model # EFIC123-SS I believe i bought this before Christmas 2019 so its been a year but it could be 2 years, you know how these things go. Anyway we had been hearing this hellacious grinding coming from the ice maker on a rare occasion and it eventually quit. Lights would come on but it would do nothing. Did a little digging on the interwebs and got a hint it was the motor. Took the thing apart (8 screws total) and see picture for the nasty bits..... The water that sprays in is directly beside the assembly arm that is turned by the motor. As a result this water splashed into the motor arm, rusted out the motor arm, and seized it up. I sprayed it with WD-40 and scrapped off most of the rust and it actually is working again. I might order a replacement motor but this will clearly be an issue for as long as this unit works. I would strongly AVOID this unit, I will now try not to think about the rust in my ice cubes....

I had this ice maker for less than a year. It constantly needed to be cleaned. The part that holds the water and up where the ice is made was constantly becoming brown. I use filtered water when filling the machine so I wasn't understanding why the machine is constantly turning brown. It is not an easy machine to clean. When I tried cleaning it today, the part that holds the water when the ice is being made broke. Didn't even get a year out of the machine. The picture I have attached is less than a week after I had cleaned the machine.
