These are consistently high quality and taste the same every time. They’re cheap and kids love them. No, they’re not the healthiest things in the world, but neither is most food you eat. Lit’l Smokies are awesome and the world would be a sadder place without them.

I have made these little smokies for years. I boil them to remove excess liquid and then combine ketchup and bbq sauce and toss. They are a Christmas tradition at our house. Also made them for years for our children's birthday parties; always a hit with the kids. I have even had requests from my daughter's friends on how to make them.

One star review due to packaging shrink! Please increase the amount of Lit'l Smokies you put in a package to at least 32. I opened a package today and there were only 26. 32 is the number needed to combine with a sleeve of crescent rolls cut into 32 triangles. One pack of Lit;l Smokies to one sleeve is the perfect ratio. I'm sick of all the shrinking packages because companies are afraid to increase prices. If needed, raise the price and keep the number in a pack to at least 32!!!

I’ve not made the lil’ smokies for years and made a double batch for Thanksgiving vs using kielbasa. I tried one and to my dismay they have the texture of a hotdog, soft, mushy texture, nothing like the originals my family had loved. The taste, texture & overall shape are absolutely NOTHING like they used to be or how 5 of the thanksgiving family members on Thursday remember them once eating fondly. I came online & googled tonight to see if by some weird fluke there was another big name brand who sells these? Maybe we got a bad batch (2 separate packs?) Maybe we made a wrong purchased/brand mistake? NOPE upon scrolling through all the other feedback/posts it confirmed that we too had the overall similar taste & texture “disappointment” /experience. What happened Hillshitre? You had such a great product before! I’m leaving this review so other consumers know that they are not crazy for wondering the same things all of us did on thanksgiving sitting around after eating a couple of them each, than talking about “just how much of a bummer” the product had tasted/changed. & also forced to give 1 star in order to leave this review, instead of zero.

I love these things, doesn't matter the flavor. they are always good. Please let me know when the 'skin issue' gets resolved though. I waited a month to buy them again, but still an issue. I did find a workaround though, you wash the slimy skin off them, then cook them. back to great again.

I have been eating Lit'l Smokies for years but will not buy again unless you go back to the original recipe. You obviously changed the ingredients. Why did you lower the quality of this wonderful little sausage??? I would rather pay a few cents more for the original recipe if it is a matter of money!! You are losing a lot of customers as all of my friends say the same... it is a "horrible taste" since the ingredients change!!

These used to be delicious (and the cheese flavor) but whatever you did to them is honestly disgusting. The casings are putrid and slimy and they don't taste anything like they used to, they're full of bone fragments and have the texture of a cheap hot dog. Way to ruin a good product for "more profits" I'm sure. Gross.

I bought these for a buffet style food bat for our Christmas party. They were ABSOLUTELY horrible. The texture is more of a hotdog than a nice sausage as they used to be. They had black stuff on the ends of them; that I have no idea what it was. These used to be the hit of our party. Never again. There was a reason I paid more for Hillshire Farm over other brands. The recipe change makes them taste far less superior now. I don't know who changed the recipe, much less who the taste testers were...but these are by far the worst sausages I've had in years.

My kids LOVE these, and so do I. For a mom of 2 whose husband works late and kids have after school activities, this is a good think to have on hand. They even are a crowd hit at parties. They are super quick to make and did I mention yummy!! Definitely a favorite of our.

I bought this pack because my kids love these and I figured the bigger pack would come in handy. They are actually a little bit larger than the little ones sold in the regular package. My kids would not eat them for some reason, we serve it the same way we always due. I have a feeling it had to do with the size and texture of the larger ones.
