We used to eat these all the time - for breakfast, in appetizers, always! The flavor/taste has totally changed and they seem to be full of "filler".... to the point that it had to be spit out. I was horrified - I can no longer serve this product to my guests!

My favorite thing besides the delicious taste is how versatile and convenient they are. So good with so many things. Makes breakfast so easy, with yogurt and granola or toast and preserves. Have you ever considered a spicy/chorizo version? I'd love them so much.

I have made these little smokies for years. I boil them to remove excess liquid and then combine ketchup and bbq sauce and toss. They are a Christmas tradition at our house. Also made them for years for our children's birthday parties; always a hit with the kids. I have even had requests from my daughter's friends on how to make them.

These are consistently high quality and taste the same every time. They’re cheap and kids love them. No, they’re not the healthiest things in the world, but neither is most food you eat. Lit’l Smokies are awesome and the world would be a sadder place without them.

I've been buying the Lil smokies for decades but the past 2 large packs this year have had a weird film on them that makes them slippery from the package and rinses off with hot water. We tossed the last batch and are rinsing this time after getting another pack of the same texture. Has the manufacturing process changed? What gives HF??

What did you do? The Lit’l Smokies are no longer the same. When I opened the package I noticed that the Little Smokies were slimy and the casing pealed off in this jelly like glob. I threw that package away thinking they were bad. I went and bought another package and found the next package exactly the same, so I did use the second package. The flavor of the Smokies was not the same. There was a sour, vinegary taste. Very disappointed with your new packaging process and will no longer buy.

I love these things, doesn't matter the flavor. they are always good. Please let me know when the 'skin issue' gets resolved though. I waited a month to buy them again, but still an issue. I did find a workaround though, you wash the slimy skin off them, then cook them. back to great again.

I’ve not made the lil’ smokies for years and made a double batch for Thanksgiving vs using kielbasa. I tried one and to my dismay they have the texture of a hotdog, soft, mushy texture, nothing like the originals my family had loved. The taste, texture & overall shape are absolutely NOTHING like they used to be or how 5 of the thanksgiving family members on Thursday remember them once eating fondly. I came online & googled tonight to see if by some weird fluke there was another big name brand who sells these? Maybe we got a bad batch (2 separate packs?) Maybe we made a wrong purchased/brand mistake? NOPE upon scrolling through all the other feedback/posts it confirmed that we too had the overall similar taste & texture “disappointment” /experience. What happened Hillshitre? You had such a great product before! I’m leaving this review so other consumers know that they are not crazy for wondering the same things all of us did on thanksgiving sitting around after eating a couple of them each, than talking about “just how much of a bummer” the product had tasted/changed. & also forced to give 1 star in order to leave this review, instead of zero.

One star review due to packaging shrink! Please increase the amount of Lit'l Smokies you put in a package to at least 32. I opened a package today and there were only 26. 32 is the number needed to combine with a sleeve of crescent rolls cut into 32 triangles. One pack of Lit;l Smokies to one sleeve is the perfect ratio. I'm sick of all the shrinking packages because companies are afraid to increase prices. If needed, raise the price and keep the number in a pack to at least 32!!!

I am so happy to see that it isn't just me who has noticed the "new taste." I purchased some in recent months (4 or 5 packs at a time) and noticed that the flavor was bland. It had me confused actually-- I thought maybe I picked up the wrong brand. Please go back to the original recipe. If nothing harmful was in it, then bring it back. If it was, still bring it back....it was worth the taste...LOL Seriously though, what's going on with the recipe?? We need flava! Bring back the flava! Bring back the flava! Bring back the flava! If I wanted to eat something that bland, I would've chosen vienna sausages...yuck!
