We love these cooked in barbecue sauce or sweet and sour sauce.

Hillshire Farm's makes the best smokies, I use them in making pigs in a blanket.

I buy these then divide them into smaller packages. I use them to give my dogs their pills for storms and holiday fireworks. They went up $2 I don't know how much longer I will be able to afford them

These used to be different. Again, I should have seen the reviews first, but why would I need a review for such a long standing, traditionally good item? I hadn't had these in a few years, but they were always a favorite for parties etc. I heated some up to eat during the football game, and didn't use BBQ sauce, watching excess sugars etc. But wow, very salty, and lots of chewy/hard bits in these. The texture was different too. Was the BBQ sauce hiding this for all those years? I know it wasn't. As another said, I was like did I buy the wrong brand? If they stay like this, I won't be making them for parties anymore. Something changed.......be aware! I hate to waste food but I tossed the rest away.

In my opinion, Hillshire made a huge mistake when they used this new version to replace the original Lit'l Smokies. I had a recipe from Hillshire for the original and served them frequently as appetizers. Always were a big hitl However, this replacement misses the mark BIG TIME. Just doesn't have the flavor of the original. Very disappointed. Sadly, never again.

Bought these because they were supposed to be Lil Smokeys. Very disappointed. They looked like a little hot dog so I took a bite, and sure enough, tasted like a hot dog. I make pigs n a blanket for Christmas dinner, but these are NOT "pigs n a blanket. I usually get them from Walmart, but these taste NOTHING like the lil Smokeys I usually buy. Sad, Sad, Sad.

They make great mini pigs-in-a-blanket. Use crescent triangles, sled in half lengthwise. Cook the smokies, then roll them up, starting at the long end, ending at the point. Bake crescents as directed. When done, brush with melted butter, lightly. You don't want soggy piggies. DELICIOUS!!

We got these in last month's grocery order and I'm obsessed! I hadn't had them in years and the flavor was even better than I remember; the quality hasn't diminished at all. We broke them down into pound packages in quart freezer bags and they've done perfectly. I made one batch into a "Chili Cheese Dog Dip" for a party, pairing a pound of Lil Smokies (each link cut into thirds) with a can of hot dog chili and nacho cheese and served with tortilla chips, but could easily top rice or pasta or be made into a casserole. Another recipe was an incredible "Smoked Sausage Minestrone" made along with homemade chicken broth from the bones of a Sam's rotisserie chicken, a pretty pasta shape, parmesan, and an abundance of veggies, which was such a delicious Spring supper. I'm not quite sure what we're going to do with the final pound yet, but I'm so looking forward to using it and they will definitely be a frequent repurchase in the future!
