This is an excellent tv for the price. It's HUGE! Picture is great, considering it is not QLED OR OLED. I'm sure paying between 50%-300% more for either of those technologies would give a little better performance, but in my opinion, not enough better to justify the additional cost. This 86” tv uses a faster processor than the smaller TVs in the 8000 series. The remote is well thought out and easy to use, but could use backlighting. The only other minor issue I have had is reflections from room lighting, but overall a great TV for the money.

I bought this TV 2 weeks ago & so far it's performing well. The labels at the back are not visible ie power supply outlet & Vesa screws that it took me a few mins to find them. Also the documentation of the remote & assembly guide was poor & hard to follow. There was no user manual on the & hard to find on the LG website. I also find it hard to navigate it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like all the features of the 65UR8000AUA TV. The color and detail are excellent. The sound is very good even without an extra sound bar. The offerings of a wide varity of both free and subscription TV channels are all there. I like the fact that the TV software can automatically update itself through the internet. WiFi and Bluetooth functionality is there. The only thing I think is weak in this product is the Alexa interface. Although it is there and it does work, it is quite limited in it's skillset. But overall, I think this is a great TV.

We were looking for a new television because our old one just quit on us. That night went to some research online to look at reviews on what brand was the best. Next day went to three stores to see what was available. We knew what we wanted and we were lucky to find what we have now. We are really happy that we made the right choice.

We bought this to upgrade from our 23” tv that we've had for years. We are very happy with the purchase. The picture is beautiful and the sound is excellent. We have a sound bar but only have to use it when my husband is watching because he has moderate hearing loss.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased this TV for our Christmas present to ourselves. While it was fairly easy to assemble and set up, I did find that the TV was fairly complicated to use, with a lot of functions that I still do not use or understand. I also found that it didn't have the accessory connections that I needed for our VHS tape playor or DVD player, so cannot use them now at all. I also cannot set up our sound system that we had from our previous TV since there is no sound output and the LG sound system costs more than the TV did, so that's out of our range. We are still working on understanding how to use the TV and it's many function and station apps. With all of the setups and user guide information on the TV and not a booklet, and us being an older generation, we are struggling to use many of the functions, and even setups. We still have to use 2 remotes, since we have Dish Satellite system, which will shut down after a couple of hours of inactivity, and it will not start up without using the remote for Dish. It's also harder to change channels, look at the guide, etc., for Dish using the LG remote. So that being said, it's not all that we hoped that it would be. The picture quality and overall TV system is quite nice compared to our older TV, but not having our sound bar for a quality sound, not having hookups for our DVD and VHS systems, it is not as useful as our older TV. We still really like the TV itself and the quality though. The price was decent as well. Only time will tell if we will purchase another LG after this one.

Here is the reason why I am so happy I bought this LG TV. Originally I bought a new 55" Samsung Crystal Tizan. Eleven calls to Samsung trying to put my computer on its screen. Tech support couldn't solve it and was told to call Xfinity. No luck co back to Samsung who then told me to contact Dish - no luck. Then they told me to contact Dell - again, no luck. So I had them pick it up and ship it back. My sister just bought a new LG and told me to try it and I AM SO HAPPY I DID!!!! The colors are great but I find the greatest this is the EASE on uses to navigate all of your systems. it's easy to go from TV to computer and back! It's easy to set the many option sleep timer! It's easy to set the type of sound you want, etc. IT'S JUST SO EASY TO ENJOY TV ON MY NEW 55" LG TV!!!

We purchased this TV in Nov, 2023, and for the most part, performance has been very good, although the remote control operation is sometimes quirky, and we recently started having a streaming issue. Remote control operation does NOT always work smoothly, especially with Amazon Prime where navigating through shows and making a selection can be a crap shoot, as the cursor seems to time-out too quickly. The recent streaming issue appears to be related to the lack of a dedicated app for Acorn TV, forcing us to use a web link to get to the website. This worked OK until 2 to 3 weeks ago when the web app started crashing about 10 to 15 minutes into the show we were watching. The TV would display a message similar to "this app must be closed to free up memory". We would then be given the option of restarting the app from where it crashed, or starting it over. We would start again from when it crashed, but it would crash again in 5 to 10 minutes, and do this repeatedly, which was very annoying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this TV for 2 weeks now. The picture quality is amazing. I love LG TV's for this reason. The included apps are OK, but I wish LG would partner up with Roku since it's much easier to use. Not a big deal since I can use my own Roku device. The magic controller takes some getting used to but overall it's OK. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a big TV at a reasonable cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 15 years it was time to say farewell to our 55-inch TV. We welcomed the new year to our belated Christmas gift. Our new 75-inch LG is fast on find channels, great sound and boy its realistic size on the screen is amazing.
