Easy setup and great picture right out of the box

Like some people, I get anxious when setting up electronics. However, setting up this TV was honestly a breeze. I plugged it in along with the cable and it prompted me through the whole setup process. It was that simple. What really helped was the on screen and verbal instructions which were very easy to understand. Once it was set up, I appreciated the clarity of sound. I could hear the dialogue clearly - no need for a soundbar unless you want the full sound emersion.

A few weeks out the tv works good, the remote is a problem for my husband ,he is electronically challenged when he hits the button to select it rolls so the mouse appears again, over and over until he gives it to me to get the station he wants. I wish there was a way to just turn off the mouse, we don't need a magic remote.

But this new tv the processor was very slow and interface is also not as friendly as before. Also the quality of picture is not as great. Ended up returning it and bought an OLED instead

Overall the tv quality especially for playing games is really great I absolutely love the 4K view age of everything it looks really nice. The tv is also really loud but silent at the same time, for instance you can have it at a loud volume but even outside my room that's not soundproof and my brother usually complains it's really good. My brother hasn't complained once so I really love this purchase and everything that is comes with.

Great picture but has some quirks

We purchased this TV in Nov, 2023, and for the most part, performance has been very good, although the remote control operation is sometimes quirky, and we recently started having a streaming issue. Remote control operation does NOT always work smoothly, especially with Amazon Prime where navigating through shows and making a selection can be a crap shoot, as the cursor seems to time-out too quickly. The recent streaming issue appears to be related to the lack of a dedicated app for Acorn TV, forcing us to use a web link to get to the website. This worked OK until 2 to 3 weeks ago when the web app started crashing about 10 to 15 minutes into the show we were watching. The TV would display a message similar to "this app must be closed to free up memory". We would then be given the option of restarting the app from where it crashed, or starting it over. We would start again from when it crashed, but it would crash again in 5 to 10 minutes, and do this repeatedly, which was very annoying.
