I can eat bread again!

I haven't eaten bread in YEARS because it's known to spike blood sugar and cause weight gain. This organic, delicious, non-genetically altered bread does not raise my blood sugar! It's loaded with vitamins, minerals and protein and I t doesn't bloat me up. I have a slice of avacado toast every morning now. It's so awesome to eat bread again! Good bread!

This is a Cake Not a Bread- It has TOO MUCH SUGAR

It is good for being organic and whole grain! However, overall, as the ADDED SUGAR is 5 grams per slice, it should not be considered a bread; rather, it should be considered as a cake. I have compared it to MANY other products and ON ONE adds so much sugar to bread.

    Best Bread EVER!!!

I started buying this bread in March of this year and feel in love with it!! I love the sweet taste it has to it and that it is so hearty... it holds my avocado mash and a fried egg perfect. I haven't tried the other options that Dave's sells but I bet they are just amazing! Try it, you won't be dissapointed!

Best You Can Buy that Don’t Taste Like Cardboard

Best bread on the market and I have tried quite a few. It taste amazing with butter or whatever you are going to make a sandwich out of. They use good grains. Now being it has zero preservatives I highly recommend you divide it and freeze whatever you know you’re not going to use. Worth the price.

    Disappointed

My husband and I LOVE this bread... it is such a great, healthy alternative to the other breads available. I recently recommended it to a friend and she snapped a picture of the label and sent it to me to let me know she was trying it... in doing so, I realized the protein content went from 5g to 6g (ok cool), the fiber went from 5g to 4g (eh, I'll deal), but the ALA Omega 3's went from 260mg to 130mg! That is cut by 50%!!! What gives? Why the change? I feel like I am losing nutritional value, but the bread still costs the premium price!

    I’m going crazy?

I felt like I was going crazy the last few months of buying this bread??!! When I first started purchasing it like 3 years ago the taste was great! Soft inside and nice light brown outside! Now the center feels so dry and the outside is always so burnt. Every time I eat it, it’s so dry. Have the ingredients changed as well?? It used to be wheat flour but now has cracked wheat? Why change the product when the taste and consistency was perfect?? I’m so sad, because you guys actually made a quality product that tasted amazing that I was willing to spend more money on. What a shame.

this was provided as a substitute for my 100% whole wheat bread. why not substitute THE SAME THING but a different brand? and now I see, my current order will be giving me THREE of them! even tho last time I called and explained why I couldn't have these.

    Lots of added sugar

I regret not noticing that there are 5 grams of added sugar in every slice of this bread. I think that’s close to half a cup in a loaf? Far too much for a bread I had hoped was healthier. Personally I’d prefer a much less sweet taste too. I won’t be buying it again.

    Great bread

I really love Dave’s 21 whole grains bread and the healthy ingredients added to it. However, I’m sad to say that I won’t be buying it anymore due the amount of added sugar in each slice. I mean does a slice of bread really need 5 grams of sugar? The bread is so good that it doesn’t even need that extra sugar. It’s mostly health conscious people purchasing this bread so I really do think more people would buy it if y’all didn’t add so much sugar in your bread. Other than the high sugar content, this really is a good bread and I’d happily buy it again if there’s a zero added sugar option in the future.

    Your conscience

Grew up my entire life thinking Dave's Killer was one of the healthiest breads out there. Little did I know the sourdough bug that's bitten everyone since covid has drastically changed my outlook on bread. Bread in plastic will always be unhealthy for you. Look how many ingredients (outside of the seeds and grains) this bread has; sugar is sugar no matter how you label it. I've been buying a local bakery sourdough with three ingredients that is not only addicting, but I can digest it properly and not need extra gluten, or sugar, or enzymes added into something that should already have it naturally. I'm beyond shocked why people still buy bread in plastic like this. Free your minds people.

    Healthy and delicious

Dave’s whole grain bread is my favorite bread of all. Matter fact, that is the only bread I eat now. Great taste, packed with nutrients and fiber and filling. If you are a person with a healthy lifestyle or conscious about your health, Dave’s killer bread is the way to go !

    Good

3.5 stars - Like the bit of sugar flavor. Thin slice is just too thin because the regular slices are thin enough as is; recently noticed overall dimensions of bread are shrinking. But I keep buying because we really DKB. Heavily seeded with nice spongy texture it holds up well to TV pics of Turkey & Avocado lunch 🙂 Bread is filling with a nice chew so instead of woofing down an ole white bread sandwich the seeds force me take my time to chew/taste & that's nice.

Delicious, healthy, hearty bread..... so good!

I came to the website to look at the ingredients after having a vegan tuna salad sandwhich that was out of this world. The bread was sooooo.... good. I love that it does not have high fructose corn syrup or a bunch of other crap in it. Really love this slightly sweet, nutty bread.

    Best Bread. Hands down.

Dave’s is without a doubt the best bread i’ve had. Recently bought the 21 loaf and unlike so many other grocery breads, it actually tastes good! the seeds make for a wonderful textural difference and i like that i know i’m eating something good for me. Easily recommend!

    Love the taste and grains

I toast a slice of Dave’s 21 grain bread every morning and top it with my homemade guacamole, slice of tomato, fried egg white, and|or an optional strip of bacon or sausage patty. I never get tired of it! Delicious! Thank you for a wonderful product!!

I always go back to Dave!

I use the bread at least 5 times a week. I toast it with butter and eat with eggs in the morning or I use it in every kind of sandwich you can think of and I have plans to cut it into little Pieces, throw some Seasonings on it and make croutons out of it for my salads. I can't wait to try it that way! I've been eating Dave's bread for about two years now and every time I buy a different type of bread to try, the next week, I go right back to Dave. Lol! It's a bond I can't break!??

    love bread, but HATE SUGAR!!!

Yes this bread tastes great, but that is because SUGAR is the 3rd ingredient after whole grain wheat & water. Sugar is poison to me and also to the huge and ever growing population with metabolic syndrome, type I & II diabetes, & pre-diabetes. Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE create a bread with NO SUGAR??? Add salt, rosemary, garlic, or ANYTHING ELSE BESIDES SUGAR for flavoring? I will pay MORE $$$ FOR SUCH A BREAD! As it is I can't eat this bread. So no 5 stars from me.

Good Quality Bread But Slightly Too Much Sugar

This is a great quality bread for the most part with really good ingredients but the fact that it has 5g of added cane sugar PER SLICE is crazy. That’s already 10g of sugar before adding anything else to the bread. Please, lower the sugar or use a healthier sugar and this bread would be a 10 out of 10!

    Supposedly white bread

Very bad smell. The store I usually get my bread from stopped caring the brand we like. Tried this as was labeled white. Not white, not close to white. Terrible product. And I tried to keep it short. Your validation made me keep rambling on about how bad it was.

    Delicious taste and texture!

I started buying Dave's killer bread a couple years back when i found out about their second chance program. It always feels good to support a company whose moral values align with yours. Since then I've been hooked! I love this particular bread because of it's subtle sweetness and great dense texture. I always recommend this bread to friend's and family, and whenever I make a sandwich for someone else I get compliments on the bread lol. :)

    WOW

Wow is the adjective for this bread. I grew up in the Midwest eating toast for breakfast every morning. Having diabetes is not fun, but this bread is delicious and seems more healthy for me than the standard fare at grocery stores. I love the light sweet flavor, the seeds and grain combination is perfect. Thank you for a really great product.
