I can eat bread again!

I haven't eaten bread in YEARS because it's known to spike blood sugar and cause weight gain. This organic, delicious, non-genetically altered bread does not raise my blood sugar! It's loaded with vitamins, minerals and protein and I t doesn't bloat me up. I have a slice of avacado toast every morning now. It's so awesome to eat bread again! Good bread!

Good Quality Bread But Slightly Too Much Sugar

This is a great quality bread for the most part with really good ingredients but the fact that it has 5g of added cane sugar PER SLICE is crazy. That’s already 10g of sugar before adding anything else to the bread. Please, lower the sugar or use a healthier sugar and this bread would be a 10 out of 10!

    Healthy choice!!

This bread is the bomb!!! Even my kids aged from 11-17 years old love it!! I have kept this in my home for sandwiches for my family and when I run low they remind me to run to the store to buy more. Other brands do not compare to the benefits of this bread. From the ingredients to the taste you can't go wrong. I know I am choosing a healthy brand when I feed my family this bread. Sometimes I even buy in bulk and freeze ahead to make sure I don't run out when I think I might run low.

    My breakfast every day

Beware, this stuff is addictive. Texture is almost cakelike. Not too thick but substantial enough to compliment whatever I throw inside. Really goes well with PB&J, but also takes a deli sandwich to the next level. Sometimes when I'm in a rush I just take a few slices and eat it alone and it feels like a meal. Suprisingly sweet with a nutty flavor. Once in a rare while the loaves come a bit overbaked and drier but most of the time it is just right, moist and chewy.

    Cardboard bread

This was substituted for the bread I really wanted, but WM has been excellent so far in substituting items. However, this one, (and it's not WM's fault) is tasteless, like eating thick cardboard. I would not choose this ever over the Oroweat Oatnut bread for the same price. But if you are looking just for fiber, this might suit your needs.

    Grind the flax seeds please.

I love this bread and probably eat some almost everyday! I keep it in the fridge to get a few more days of freshness (no preservatives!). One suggestion I have is that the whole flax seeds get everywhere and most nutrition experts agree that ground flax seeds are better utilized by our digestive system. Thank-you!

    Very Tatsey and Healthy

My family has recently been buying this bread as its the only bread I've found that has no vegetable(canola/soybean/sunflower seed) oil in it, and no bad ingredients in general. However I was looking at your other products to see what else might be good, and I was disappointed to see that most of them had Canola oil. Please promote your bread as being vegetable oil free, and refrain from further use of Canola oil. And please please do NOT add Canola oil to this bread, or change the recipe at all.

    Great Bread

I was a personal shopper at a large retail store and noticed one thing in common for peoples groceries, Dave’s Killer Bread. I decided to purchase some myself and as a customer had told me the bread is flavorful and has a great texture and that individual was right the 21 whole grain and seeds is the best bread I have had!

Please make a loaf without SUGAR!

I love your bread but so many people are trying to avoid sugar ( Diabetics, Cancer patients, Autoimmune problems) and the list goes on. What we need is a Dave’s “Life Loaf”!! Try healthy Monk fruit sweetener or Allulose sweetener as they don’t raise your glucose levels and everyone can enjoy it! I love Dave’s bread but sugar is not our friend!!!

so close and yet so far

I have no doubt that this bread is perfectly delicious but why in the world do so many bread companies feel the need to add so much sugar?? In this case, a not insignificant 5 grams per slice. Other breads such as Ezekiel are perfectly delicious w/ as good or better nutritional value - AND have zero sugar per slice!! I sure wish more companies could follow their lead!!

Almost the best bread ever, just 1 problem

It took a few weeks to notice that this bread is OBVIOUSLY sweet. I find intentionally sweet bread tastes terrible and I don't need sugar in my bread to like the flavor and texture. Neither do kids, they get enough hidden sugar in their diets, they don't need sugar in their bread. Things I ate the bread with earlier covered the sugar well enough that it, wasn't obvious. But as I had it with a variety of things, it became obvious that the bread is sweet so I can't deal with it. If I could get this bread without the sugar, it would be my go-to bread, 100%.

Delicious taste, superb texture and Nutritious!

I've loved this bread since the first moment I tasted it. It has a wonderful texture. It toasts great on my cast iron griddle and the 27 Oz loaf has slices perfectly sized and shaped for sandwich making. Another reviewer complained about the amount of sugar per slice. Don't be fooled one 20 Oz bottle of coke has nearly as much sugar as this entire loaf, but Dave uses organic cane sugar instead of HFCS. I agree it's expensive when compared to other brands, but you get what you pay for in this world. Great recipe Dave! Don't change a thing.

    Frozen now instead of Fresh

I've bought this bread for some time and now it comes in frozen and put on the shelf- This is the 4th loaf bought this way so it was not a one time event... before the bread was my favorite- and would have received 5stars. Not sure who is at fault for frozen instead of fresh.

FINALLY!!! A healthy bread that TASTES GREAT!

1st time today! I've l99ked at this bread a million times and FINALLY purchased it. OMG!!! It's SO GOOD! I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and was told a good dense seed bread would be much better for me. I am also gluten intolerant, have tried ALL GF breads 😝. Expensive and taste mostly awful! So I chose this today! It will now be in my Pantry and on my plate every day! Thank you Dave for making this! Now, please make one gluten free with all the seeds and nuts too please!

    No longer outstanding bread

I so enjoyed eating the 21 grain bread in the past, but today there was no denying that the recipe has changed. I previously enjoyed the nutty grain of the bread, and its freshness. It felt like eating this bread was enhancing my health. This morning I had the bread and found that the consistency is just like all the others that claim to be whole wheat. Very disappointed. Will be looking for a replacement.

Why do you put sugar in bread ? this is not a cake

Bread should not have sugar in it !! this taste of sugar is very unpleasant, it kills the taste of grains ! Europeans do not put sugar in bread, so why do you ? all this sugar in food makes americans unhealthy and fat !! now if someone want to eat something sweet, they can eat a cake ! bread is not a cake ! so please stop putting sugar in your bread and you should also have some bread without gluten ! gluten and sugar are a poison ! Americans need to eat healty and your bread is unhealthy !

Nice quality bread but just slightly too sweet.

Dear Dave I highly commend you & your high quality company & breads!!!! As an old timer I just wish this nice quality 21 Whole Grains & Seeds favorite selection of mine were slightly 50% slightly less sweet like my all-time favorites of sprouted whole grains breads... Would you be able to bake for me that favorite LESS-SWEET favorite 21 whole grains & seeds bread which I would enjoy so much???? Thanks Dave & Best Wishes!!!!

Dave's killer bread is a household staple

We love Dave's killer bread. It's the only brand we buy because it's the only brand that feels homemade. The loaves are delicious, you can taste the individual grains and seeds, and I also love that you can buy the loaves in "thin sliced" for those days when you have a smaller appetite.

This is what bread should taste like

37 year old here with recent diagnosis of a very rare cancer. I am introducing some good organic foods with high nutrition value and convenience. I am totally hooked! I will never buy another sandwich loaf again for my husband and myself. Terrific!

    Way too sweet

I just got this to give it a try. First sandwich and I thought, way too sweet..." According to the label it has 5 grams of added sugar per slice. That's over a teaspoon! Way too much sugar for bread. Maybe good for pancakes. Yuck! I also think the texture is a little too moist and dense for my liking, it's more like cake than bread.
