My beloved hoover died and so I needed a new vacuum. I have a dog and a shaggy carpet - so vacuuming regularly is a must. I had purchased a cheap SHARK model from Walmart but the brush stopped spinning when I got to the shaggy carpet. I thought I needed a more powerful model. I purchased this one and it also stops spinning on the carpet. I had to pack it up and take it back. I was able to find a Eureka that did the job with no problem. I don't recommend if you have thick carpet because it should work on all carpets. Other than the shaggy carpet - it worked fine.

I have owned about 6 different models of shark vacuums, all great vacuums. However, this has been by far the best one, it is not noisy, it’s not heavy despite its size, and it lifts everything and anything. It makes cleaning easier and faster, I don’t have the need to vacuum the same area an extra time because this really does pick up everything. When i’m in the market for a new vacuum I’ll really do my best to get this same exact model.

Great vacuum

This vacuum worked wonderfully the first time! I was so excited that I finally found a vacuum that could handle my 3 pets and long haired family members! The second time I used it the red brush light went on. I cleaned it up, took it apart and was fine with doing so but ever since then the light kept coming on and it still does not pick up anything! So frustrated because it worked awesome at first!! So if you don't have pets this is a good vacuum for you.

OK. This is my second Shark. I was so impressed with the first one I bought another. This is a GREAT vacuum,the suction is incredible. Very good BASIC vacuum. However, I might return it. Why? Well, comparing it to my first Shark (Rotator...Pet Plus)...no light on vacuum or handle...this is really a great feature and this one does not have it. The cord is shorter than my first Shark...also a big deal as I can’t reach where I used to. The power switch (which I am used to on the handle... Very convenient) is down further and I have to bend over to switch it (and stop what I’m doing). Lastly....NOT a good vacuum for thicker carpets...HARD to push....amazing for bare floors and short carpets however! I may keep it for my business and just get a different Shark for home. Haven’t decided...for the price...can’t be beat.

Bagless vacuum performs well, particularly picking up dog hair.

No frills, but does have good suction. No light. 2 settings.

Easily put together. It's not a Dyson, but it's good.

Amazing on the dog hair in my house!
