The Worst Keurig I've EVER Owned

In 15 years of buying the Keurig brand, I have never been so disappointed. I don't know if it's the new design or what. The coffee maker isn't quite three months old and it's been nothing but a problem. We don't drink an inordinate amount of coffee, but the descale light comes on EVERY month. It doesn't brew the true amount of coffee no matter which button you select. This morning, my husband selected the 12 oz button and got 2 ounces. It's new trick is to push the grounds out of the Kcup into the space around the kcup holder. I'm planning to return it to Sam's tomorrow. Save yourselves the headache and do not buy this model.

Thanks for your review. We're sorry to hear about this. Did you activate the Descale Mode on your K-Supreme coffee maker before starting the process? To activate Descale Mode, begin with the brewer plugged in and powered off, then press and hold the 8oz and 12oz buttons together for 3 seconds. When flashing, press the brew button to start the descaling process. Once the descale process is complete, the DESCALE notification should turn off automatically. If you followed the correct process for the K-Supreme and are still experiencing this, please call our Consumer Care team at 866-901-2739, we will be more than happy to help.

Worked 3 or 4 times. Customer Service not helpful.

We bought this for special occasions like Memorial Day and it would not work this year. It was JUST OVER one year old and had been used three times. Keurig would NOT replace it because it was over one year. They offered me an insulting 20% deal at their website which is pricing that is not as good as Sams, Walmart or Amazon so forget it.

Nice, but it isn't a long last appliance

I have had two of these, and I don't use them that often. The first one lasted about 100-150 kcups before it wouldn't heat anymore. Found there is a reset button on the inside, not accessible to most consumers. The reset only lasted a short time. The second one lasted, maybe 150-180 kcups. Poor design and/or quality I would not recommend it to friend.

Junk

Does not brew the right amount. We exchanged twice, and each one has brewed 2 oz less when a pod is in. If brewing water, the correct amounts brewed but never produces a full qty with a pod... very disappointed. Oh amd I called customer service, who said deemed it defective on 2 products. I think there's something wrong with this model. My last keurig was fine.

Bought our first Keurig and it worked well for a few months and then suddenly quit working. Was still under warranty and Keurig sent a new coffee maker and it also worked well for a few months and just like the first, it suddenly quit working. Because the total length of time of the two Keurigs exceded the 12 month warranty period, Keurig would not replace the unit. It isn't worth the money.

Died after less than 6 months of usage

I bought this September 2020 and used it only about 3x per week at max. I still prefer a hybrid of brewing my coffee at home and purchasing a coffee at a local shop. Over the holidays, I spent time away from my place and didn't use the Keurig for over a month. I plugged in the machine to use this morning and selected the "brew" option, only to have the machine go unresponsive. I unplugged it, replugged it, loaded new k-cup, and nothing. I see a number of other reviews that say the same, "it stopped working after two months". I can confirm this is the case for me. Luckily, I'm within a year of purchase so I am hopeful I can get my money back.

Trash!

This is the 3rd Keurig I have purchased... another disappointment. The previous 2 lasted about 6 months and I blamed that on our well water. This one lasted barely 1 month and we don't have that well any longer so that's not the issue. It stopped putting out water and then the power went off, never to return. I'll never buy another Keurig, ever!

What a disappointment!

I'm very disappointed with this product. It worked fine for 4 months, then started putting out tiny amounts of coffee instead of the 12 oz that was selected. Then the descale light came on. After failing to clear the descale light, I contacted Keurig's customer service. They told me that this model is "sensitive" and requires the Keurig descaling solution instead of the vinegar that all of my other Keurigs used. The descale process is counter-intuitive too. You have to push buttons with the machine off to get the descale process to run. I finally got the descaling process completed and the descale light went out. Exactly 4 weeks later, we started getting tiny amounts of coffee and the descale light came on again. We have only used Brita filtered water in this machine, so I highly doubt that this machine needs to be descaled again so soon. So after 5 months of use, we threw in the towel and purchased a different model. Normally, I would donate something like this to a local charity, but I don't want to burden anyone else with this mess.

Great machine. Longtime Keurig user review.

My home has just about every coffee maker you can imagine (e.g., espresso machine, French press, drip, etc.) and our Keurig still gets the most mileage of all. Monday morning, I get up the earliest and don’t want to spin the grinder or steam milk and wake everyone up. I just want to turn on the coffee maker, insert pod, cup, and have coffee in a few minutes. I also don’t like to brew a whole pot that ends up going to waste if nobody else drinks it. So, the blessings of Keurig are many, and I think it fits a special niche in our home. So, when our years-old Keurig 2.0 (the one with the LCD screen and horseshoe tank) finally died (handle finally broke), it was off to Sam’s Club for a new one. What Keurig does really, really well: A. It’s the cruise control of coffee machines—just easy and simple. B. You get a LOT of choice on coffee, both Keurig-blessed and off-market. C. There are always pretty good deals on pods super cheap through most big box retailers like Sam’s, especially around the holidays. D. The filler pod (you fill it with your own coffee) is dishwasher safe. What Keurig doesn’t do well: A. Replacement parts. If your machine dies, it’s dead. There’s no replacing the boiler or the tank, it’s basically done. B. Cleaning can be a chore, especially on then older machines. C. Recycling pods can be a chore if you don’t have a system in place. Review: The bundle is a great deal through Sam’s, no complaints there. There’s a lot to love about this bundle… A. Huge water tank that can be re-positioned on either side. Someone at Keurig gets it. B. A heck of a lot quieter than the previous model we had but slower brew. Heats up a lot faster, as well. C. Stronger coffee, no doubt. The five prongs really do infuse the pods better. D. The bundle came with a new filler pod (e.g., you put your own grounds in it) and it’s a good size. E. Easy to fill. The tank has a handle on it so no more using the water pitcher to fill it. F. I hate LCD screens on coffee makers so I’m glad they got rid of it. The big, clicky buttons are just gravy for me. Takeaways: It *will not work* with older Keurig single-pin “fill with your own coffee” pods, the pins will not let it go through. Works perfectly with Keurig-blessed pods but my beloved San Francisco pods (the ones with paper lids) don’t work in this machine, the paper doesn’t puncture as well. If you have non-traditional Keurig pods, the needles may not puncture as well as the single big one, and you’ll get a watered-down coffee. I learned the hard way. Advice (esp. for new Keurig users): - Descale your machine, regularly. Your machine will last for *years* if you descale it regularly and consistently. The descaling solution made by Keurig works fine. I’ve always used regular household white vinegar (cheap at Sam’s Club) and do all my coffee machines at the same time. I can’t emphasize how many times I’ve heard our friends and family who have these machines complain a few weeks after buying them tha tit doesn’t brew the same. “Did you descale it?” Nope. If you have ridiculously hard water, you’re going to be doing it every 3-5 weeks. - Use filtered water. Don’t use water straight from the tap unless you have the charcoal filter already in the tank. Replace the filter regularly. I use a tap filter and the Keurig filters, works fine for our hard water, and the coffee comes out great. - Pod recycling. The pods are recyclable. It’s not ideal but not hard. - Don’t leave used pods in it. Seriously, you’ll get a “funk” in your pod tray from old coffee. Take out old pods after you use them. - Run a rinse brew (8oz) when you’re dealing with flavored coffees and non-coffee stuff, once before and one after you brew it. No joke, if someone runs a hot chocolate through it and not a rinse brew afterwards (without the pod), you’ll get a flavor transfer. - Find the coffees you like in bulk. The machine will brew just about anything and everything, including ground coffee in a filler pod (you fill it with your own coffee).

Spacesaver

Bought this for single cup space saving coffee maker. It’s great! Love how you can move the water reservoir to help with space issues. Also has the ability to customize your cup of coffee. Very nice coffee maker. Replaced our larger Keurig with this and couldn’t be happier
