These are not flakes like the Hungry Jack that I have always bought at stores but grains. All they make into are horrible soup mixture. They should be taken off the market. I hope I can take them back otherwise I am throwing them in the trash. They don't even deserve one star.

Easy to make

I've bought this product for a long time. On my second container since the revision to the product. Went from flakes to granules. They changed the formula of product to liquid, but that is SO FAR OFF. They say it takes a cup to make a certain amount but it takes much more to have the same consistancy. This is my last container, they have ruined the product!

Why did Hungry Jack take the best instant mashed potatoes and ruin them? These are just awful, texture is no longer flakes but powder and taste is so bad I threw them out! Go back to the original and I’ll buy them again but not this hot gooey mess.

Why did hungry Jack change the recipe? These are terrible. No longer fluffy and delicious. They are heavy, flat, and a bit runny. The recipe and directions both changed. I followed it perfectly. The potatoes are NO longer flakes they are teeny tiny little hard balls. I could especially tell the difference when I was whipping them. It splashes very easily now so be careful to not get splashed in the face with hot liquid/potatoes like I did. It takes longer for the potato balls to dissolve. The end product doesn’t taste the same. It’s bland. And the texture is heavy and gross. I’m returning the other boxes I bought. I guess I’m stuck with the box I opened. What a disappointment.

Not good

This product is not the same Hungry Jack Mashed Potatoes that I have bought for years. The original product looked like white flakes and tasted like real potatoes. This product looks like yellow corn meal and does not even come close to what real potatoes taste like. I wrote to the Hungry Jack asking for a verification as to if this is a replacement to what I was used to getting OR if this is indeed a different product. They did not answer that question, they sent me a coupon for $4 off any Hungry Jack product and said they would report to the quality department. So I am assuming that this is a replacement of what they used to make because the other style box and product have not been in my local stores for many months now. I will never buy this product again. Back to peeling real potatoes for me.

We are used to the Idahoan instant potatoes. For some reason our Sam's Club store stopped carrying the Idahoans and started carrying these. They are terrible. Out of a family of five, no one wanted them.

They were out of Idahoans so we tried these for the first time. Terrible - we are throwing them out. Distinct cardboard taste in them. Fine powder instead of buds.
