We had tried real instant potatoes in the past and preferred the Hungry Jack potato flakes instead. We tried these thinking we were getting the potato flakes. When it came I was a little skeptical because of trying another brand in the past. We had a big container of potatoes so we tried them and really liked them. We will be using these in the future.

Great taste and texture. Worked great for a last minute church potluck. And i usually hate instant mashed potatoes.

Ive never seen Hungry Jack mashed potatoes in this forn. Ive onlt seen flakes. This was little grains, very fine. This is salry so watch your salt when oreparing them. Otherwise they make up good and taste luke you would expect

Potato granuals as opposed to the original flakes. The salt has already been added so no need to add that. The directions are for large servings, not for one or two like the flakes. The taste is great and the product mixes up easily. Family couldn't tell the difference. Just me as I am the cook.

Easy to make and tastes great

The consistency is very fine almost powder like and doesn’t mix easily. I like the larger flakes of the Idaho brand.

HJ used to be flakes and was very good, for instant mashed potatoes. They are now hard little pieces (and dust) of what I can only assume, based on taste, is some kind of glue. Shame on the makers to sell something that is not even food-like anymore.

Not what they use to be..now dots..not flakes...New formula?,go back to previous flakes! Wont bu again unless changed back..

This product is not 100% potatoes when the package picture only says made with potatoes. It contains milk and sour cream and several other ingredients which you do not know unless you read the fine print in the ingredient listing.

these are nothing like the Hungry Jack Instant potatoes that come in the box. I was very disappointed. Taste very processed and full of sodium. Blah.
