Software Complicated

I’ve had this product for two years now. The settings in this are simply too complicated. The weekly schedule has way to many options and you can’t adjust them. It’s junk!!

Wifi connection issues

The app always shows the thermostat not being connected to the Wifi. Blocking you from using from the app to make changes to the thermostat. The actual thermostat will show it’s connected to the wifi but will show disconnected in app. The function of the unit when it’s working is subpar as well. Avoid this product.

Stay away! I’ve had a bad experience

I bought this thermostat well over a year ago and I should have returned it the first time I had an issue. The issue I’m having is with the thermostat staying connected to the Wi-Fi and the thermostat being online in the Google home app. This thing drives me nuts! For roughly a month the device works as it should but then it starts to appear offline in the Google home app. The only way to fix it is to reset my att router and then the Google thermostat works as it should for roughly 72 hours and then it goes back to appearing offline in the Google home app. I use to have the 3rd generation nest thermostat hooked to this same router at our old house and it never gave me any trouble. If you ask me, this thermostat is junk and Google support has no remedy for the problem. They replaced the thermostat once but that fixed the issue for about 30 days and then it started appearing offline in the Google home app again. I’m to the point that I’m ready to go buy a different thermostat and throw this thing in the garbage.

Expected good BUT Replaced. Reportedly damaged AC.

I've had Nests in multiple AirBnB's, so got a couple of these. They don't use Nest App, and had to use Google Home app, which separated them from all other aligned property management. Also, not even close to being as intuitive for guests (click, tap side, slide side, tap side, figure out icons, etc.). BUT WORSE, had to replace batteries every few months... AND THEN, I had an emergency $700 repair bill, with the company's owner telling me the critically low battery caused additional AC system issues, and replaced it with a different thermostat (mine wasn't the first house he found issues at). I've pulled all these I've purchased and replaced with another HOme WiFi brand that I've been increasingly using. Guests also love the ease of use of the other brand.
