Changed out the old and in with the new. Replaced the old with the nest thermostat with trim kit with no problems. Did have some paint left to get rid of any eyesore. When restarting, I got the inadequate power source and had to order the power source module. It was free of charge. Got the unit and installed in HVAC unit and was relieved all worked well. So far, great investment but some patience needed.

Love the Nest! It was easy to install. I watched a YouTube video..,..simple. The Nest is an energy saver. It allows you to you in a preference on temps. Also, allows you to choose air/heat so the Nest will change between the two depending on temperature outdoors and inside so you don't have too!!! It's awesome!! Would highly recommend!!!

This smart thermostat is working great, easy to program. I lime that it knows when we are home, and adjusts the comfort level when we are away

It's pretty good but I was expecting that the outside ring would turn on this model to easily adjust the temperature. There was a little bit more of a learning curve to this and right now it's a bit intimidating for some people to use. Lots of times you think your supposed to use it as a touch screen but it's the right side that you have to tap and slide to change most functions. I wish it was straightforward to use. Outside of that, I do like how it was easy it was to install and configure. The app is a bit odd because you have to use the Google Home app not the Google Nest App. That in itself makes me upset because I feel it would have made it more user friendly if I could have told all my family members to download and install the Google Nest App.

I bought this Google Nest Smart Thermostat kit on Sunday and had it installed by Monday morning. It's easy to use with my Google Nest Home app and by voice control with my Google Nest hubs around my house. The Nest Thermostat has even started learning my preferences and better temp control when I'm away! Be warned: if you don't have a C/Common Wire in your HVAC/Furnace system you'll have to find and buy a separate adapter. Mine was just shy of $20.

It didn't work with my HVAC system. Support said I would have to buy the latest and greatest one for it too work. If you have a heat pump or two speed system this particular one won't do the job. I guess a two star review was server but I got nothing for wasting my time and over an hour on the phone with support. So the review was as fair as I could possibly be.

Controls are hard to use with the side swipe and tap, especially for someone older. Feels cheap and looks cheap compared to the older model.

We have a Nest Learning Thermostat for our upstairs thermostat and wanted another downstairs. Thought this would be a good enough replacement at about half the cost. Nope. Many reasons why I’m returning it: 1) Bigger face but smaller screen. 2) I like the physical controls of the prior model, where you physically rotate the outside of the thermostat to change the temperature up and down. This one instead uses a touch controls on the side which is slower and more cumbersome to use. 3) this requires use of Google Home app, not the Nest app, so for me this requires use of two separate apps to control my two thermostats. 4) this looks to be a regular programmable thermostat, not a “learning” thermostat that I’m accustomed to.

I’ve had this product for two years now. The settings in this are simply too complicated. The weekly schedule has way to many options and you can’t adjust them. It’s junk!!

The app always shows the thermostat not being connected to the Wifi. Blocking you from using from the app to make changes to the thermostat. The actual thermostat will show it’s connected to the wifi but will show disconnected in app. The function of the unit when it’s working is subpar as well. Avoid this product.
