After having for 18 months the bearings failed. Parts no no longer available. A $900 washer and mechanically totaled. I am glad I bought a service plan from my Store and got all of my purchase price back. Never again, Samsung. Shame on Samsung for inferior products. There is a reason there is only a 1 year warranty. The Service plan stated the cost to repair would be more than my original purchase price.

The washer does a terrific job and has many features you would expect to pay almost double for with other brands. Very high-quality cabinet as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the 4.5 front loader for almost 5 months. I'm shocked at how much more it holds compared to my 10 year old basic 4.3 front loader. It seems to use a little more water than my old washer, which is also a good thing. I didn't think my old washer added enough water to properly clean everything. If I could change one thing it would be to have clear glass doors. The darker color makes it hard to see if it looks like you have enough soap and it everything is tumbling well.

I replaced my 10 year old Samsung washer with this one thinking that they would be about the same. While they do a great job on everyday laundry, washing anything heavy slows this machine down. My old machine on it's last leg would clean and spin my throw rugs well but this one does not. For clothing it's great though. It is easy to use, not noisy and has a setting for everything. It met my expectations but did not surpass them.

this machine is quiter than the 12 yo machine it replaced. the cloths come out wrung out nicely. except the spin cycle you do not notice it running. mine is off the kitchen and the floor is an open floor plan. the machine is easy to use, and has many useful features.

i can't wash a beach towel. this machine is too fragile to run the spin cycle if there is anything large or absorbent - like 1 large towel (or even just a fitted and a flat queen sheet.) doesn't matter if said towel is by itself or part of any size load. if it does feel like running the spin cycle, there's a loose hose buried somewhere that whacks it's hose clamp against the frame. like there's an angry gnome in there with a pair of hammers. do not buy.

We have a Samsung front load washer model #Wf45r6100aw. It has been over 3 months with no resolve. Warranty company got tired of phone calls from us. It shakes violently. Well this morning it wouldn't even spin. Turns out the counterweight was sitting on the door seal and we took it out and are in just utter disbelief. Warranty company came out, installed 1 new shock, said it needed 3 more after 1st attempt, 6 weeks later, installed 3 more and was exactly the same, very unprofessional, broke our water line during repair! How could a product have so many problems and Samsung won't help ? Very unhappy customer that now has to look for a new washer only 11 months after purchase ! Way to go Samsung !

This washer continues to frustrate especially if you vary from the Normal cycle. Water always drips out the front after a cycle and door is left ajar leaving a puddle in front of the machine. If you just start a cycle and and realize you need to add an item, good luck. Descriptions of icons conflict for example Garment+ and Door Lock icons are lit. Description says if Garment+ is lit you can add or take out items after a cycle has started. Press Start/Pause and then open the door. Door lock indicates door is locked and connot be opened. You can open the door when this icon disappears. Problem is they're both on SO WHICH IS IT? I usually have to restart a cycle to add anything.
