This Will Work for Now

This was my first counter top ice machine. I love that it makes ice pretty fast, but I have found that it mildews pretty fast on the inside. I have found myself having to drain the machine and wipe it out about twice a month. It is not insulated well at all where the ice sits, so it melts pretty fast.

We pride ourselves on our high-quality standards and regret that our product did not live up to your expectations.Mildew growth is caused by lack of proper maintenance.You are correct, the ice storage area is not refrigerated. It is intended that ice produced be periodically transferred to zipperlock bags for storage in a conventional freezer.To make firmer/larger/drier ice, use colder water. Tip, let the first couple of batches of ice fall into the water reservoir to chill the water.

Perfect Icemaker

Great ice maker. Got this one after the one I've had for 4 years went out. I was skeptical but decided to give it a try. Once it gets going, it fills with ice quick. The water leaves fast, so check frequently once it's close to empty. Definitely recommend

Garbage Dont waste your money

Huge dissappointment. I have owned 2 in a matter of 2 years, both stopped working within a few months. I followed the owners manual on cleaning it. I bought the first one and second was a gift. The last one is constantly giving me the "add water" light even though it has the recommended amount of water in it. It definitely makes ice quickly but for it to only last 3 to 4 months, its not worth it.

It serves it's purpose

First off, it produces alot of noise, more then I had thought it would. Secondly it makes ice cubes and then they just end up melting away over time because the unit just doesn't stay internally cold enough. I assume it is a because of the water below the basket would freeze. Still.. it serves it's purpose

Nice machine

We've had to use one of these for a number of years since our refrigerator can't make enough ice for two. This machine makes ice quickly. But for daily use I had two fail within the year warranty. The current one lasted longer (almost two years) but... They are prone to growing mold and other science experiments. I would run the machine through a full water tank full of heavily chlorinated water to get rid of the slime. But now it won't go away. I can see green slime (algae?) build up after a few days. I've decided to toss this one and get a new one.

Then rinse the unit with potable water (to flush the vinegar residue from the unit).

Stops Working

I'm guessing most of the great reviews about this product was posted soon after purchase because this "ice maker" was great, but after two weeks it made less and less ice everyday before simply either shutting down completely or the mechanics goes in an endless cycle producing NO ice.
