The Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend had a normal red wine aroma. It was slightly buttery and spicy. It appeared red and clear. The taste was not too smooth - a little sharp. Again, a typical red taste. The finish was dry, probably due to the rye. I would not try this again in the future. My husband will finish the bottle. We had turkey tacos with this wine.

It's smooth texture paired very well with our marinated flank steak. This would be a great wine to use with a charcuterie platter during the holidays.

Complex in flavor — the blend is dark fruity in the most lush and delightful way, but the barrel aging adds a nuanced flavor of toasty spices. Perfect for warming up - I can’t wait to pick up more of this for the winter months. It’s a fireside snuggle in a bottle, but fruity enough to drink with a friend in the summer. I paired this with a slow smoked texas brisket and the full bodied flavor and complexity imparted by the rye barrel was the perfect complement. Can definitely see this being a standby for company dropping by.

I really liked that this Wine did not have a lingering taste but instead left me wanting more. I would definitely recommend that you try this blend. It's my favorite and I will be buying more in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine is deep ruby red in color. When you open it, you have a aroma of cinnamon, cherries and gingerbread spices and a little hint of smoke. It has light, smooth taste. This could be your every day or special occasion wine. It is well priced. It was great wine. Thank you very much for this great opportunity to taste these excellent Robert Mondavi wines and also we loved your the whole package with glasses, cutting board, bottle opener.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a solid wine. Couldn't figure out what grapes are in the blend by taste, but the rye gave this a bit of peppery bite. Very enjoyable. Great with cheeses and charcuterie! Definitely not too heavy. Everyone enjoyed it!

Great for holiday parties, gatherings with friends, wine night, heck dinner at home. Definitely recommend this one!

The Rye barrel-aged red blend was the most obvious of the barrel it came from (Rye) and that Rye-lovers would enjoy it. We enjoyed it too! It paired really well with truffled goat cheese.

The berry and spice aroma is amazing and blends well with the darker flavors of plum and blackberry. Being aged in the rye barrel adds a subtle oak flavor. It as become my favorite red blend and pairs well with lamb and beef.
