It's smooth texture paired very well with our marinated flank steak. This would be a great wine to use with a charcuterie platter during the holidays.

I was expected a stronger & bolder flavor but was pleasantly surprised by the smooth flavor. This wone will pair well with a dessert or before dinner appetizer. I decided to take it to a ladies night bingo & we enjoyed the bottle with a charcuterie board and desserts.

Not quite as dry as the barrel-aged rum variety, but dry. This is a solid staple in the wine cabinet, and I can safely say I've brought it a few places, and it was well-liked by all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After trying 2 other varieties of the rapper mundavi barrel a twins I would say that this red blend rye barrel age wine was somewhere in the middle. This wine opened with strong sweet fruity sync notes and flavors with a bit of a peppery finish. This one was nice and full and had a delicious and smooth finish. I can easily see myself reaching for this on a week night or as an accompaniment to my is to my dinner or charcuterie board.

In particular, the Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot intrigued me. Since I like rum flavor on its own, trying this was a good fit for me. It does not disappoint! This merlot has a gorgeous color, smooth flavor, and overall decadent taste that is perfect for red wine lovers. This was also very easy to find in my local store. Robert Mondavi consistently delivers great products at a fantastic price point, but this Private Selection offering is something extra special by the company. So glad to make this a new favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This wine had a bold fruit flavor. I could taste berries. It was dry and you can taste the rye from the very first sip. We paired it with crackers and cheese. I could taste spice in it. I wasn't a big fan of that so I don't see myself drinking this wine in the future. Other than that some of my friends did like it. They said for the value they would definitely purchase. This was the least favorite of all the wines we tasted.
