This was the first Red Blend I had ever tried so I was not sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised. The deep color coupled with the aromas of oak, grain, and plum were heavenly. Infound the taste to be a bit dry but still smoith with an easy finish. We paired the Red Blend with an assortment cheeses and grapes. My guests enjoyed this course of our dinner. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Robert Mondavi brand delivers again! This new Barrel-Aged wine in their Private Selection label is something I was keen to try. In particular, the Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot intrigued me. Since I like rum flavor on its own, trying this was a good fit for me. It does not disappoint! This merlot has a gorgeous color, smooth flavor, and overall decadent taste that is perfect for red wine lovers. This was also very easy to find in my local store. Robert Mondavi consistently delivers great products at a fantastic price point, but this Private Selection offering is something extra special by the company. So glad to make this a new favorite!

I really fell that this wine is more versatile with food pairings. In my opinion I would not have it with a “heavy” meal, but would definitely have it with something light to compliment the aromatic and delicious flavor of the wine.

Enjoyed this with gouda and wisconsin cheddar cheese. I can definitley see myself enjoying another bottle of Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rye Barrel-Aged Red Blend wine soon.

As soon as you smell the wine, you can smell plum, black cherry, gingerbread, Once I sipped it, you have other flavors you can detect such as Plum, spice, smoked flavors. I paired this one with Hard aged cheese with variety of crackers and kiwi to balance it. I also added curated meats. This is the perfect appietizer wine.

This wine was so good, with tons of flavor. A little bit of spice, and I could definitely taste the rye undertone. I think it would pair well with red meat or chicken, and even fish! It would make a great wine for a cool, fall day. This may be my new go-to red wine!

The aroma was a smoky grain with nuisances of berry. The appearance was medium light red. The taste was light and smooth with a flavor of roasted rye grains. The aftertaste again seems to really deliver the Barreled-Aged flavor in the aftertaste.

I wish I added it to my red sauce I was making because it would have added another level of flavor that would have been thoroughly enjoyed
