First time buying and trying this, and let me tell you, this was the worst chicken salad I've had. It was extremely salty, and the chicken tasted like canned chicken with a texture similar to canned tuna. I'm really disappointed. It's called “rotisserie chicken salad,” but nothing about it tasted like rotisserie chicken. I expected fresh flavor and real shredded chicken, but instead it tasted overly processed. I could barely finish a few bites before throwing it away. For the price I expected something tasty. Unfortunately, I would not purchase this again or recommend it.

“ I received a free sample for my honest review”. In all honesty, this has got to be one of the best chicken salads I have ever had. If I didn't know that I had gotten it from Sam's I would've thought it was homemade! The seasoning was perfect. The chicken was cut proportionately and the mayonnaise used was just the right amount. I will definitely be purchasing this in the future.

It's not consistent. I want to like it but not fully on board. Either too much mayo at times , or too much salt. I do like the consistency and think it could be really good if the batch-consistency gets better. After 4 purchases I probably will not try again any time soon.

The updated recipe has shifted away from what made it a staple, resulting in a product that feels inferior in both flavor and quality. The most glaring issue is the overwhelming amount of mayonnaise, which masks the taste of the chicken and creates a heavy, greasy mouthfeel. Furthermore, the addition of pickle relish is an unwelcome change that introduces a clashing sweetness and acidity that does not belong in this classic profile. Beyond the flavor, the overall texture has suffered significantly, losing the hearty consistency of the previous version. None of the modifications have improved the product; instead, they have compromised a once-excellent recipe. We strongly urge a return to the original formulation to restore the quality customers expect.

This used to be a staple in my fridge, but after not being able to find it for a while I got a tub only to find that the recipe has changed. I loved it before and now it tastes sweet. The best thing about the original was that it was savory, which is hard to find in grocery store “salad” products. So disappointing!

We enjoyed the pre-packaged chicken salad with cranberries & nuts in it much better.
