This tire is the best one on the road for me. I have over the years taken this tire way, way off road and often I've pulled 4x4's with more aggressive tires than these out of situations they could not get through on their own. I drive a stock 2013 Ram 1500 4wd and these tires not only take me wherever I want to go but they ride smooth. I often go in sand, snow, mud, rocks, you name it and this tire is gonna get you through. It takes a long steady foot on the accelerator but these tires will find a way to get you through. I bought 4-new Michelin LTX M/S tires when I replace original tires from my Ford F150 at 62,000 miles. Now my Ford truck has 162,000 miles and my Michelin tires still going strong! The tires have over100,000 milles!!!!!!!!!!! & looks like it will last another 100,000 miles. I'm in a constuction field and I drive my truck to work carrying lot of toool & constuction materials. The Michelin tires are the best tires I ever had and I highly recommend to everyone. The Simply the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unbelieveable product! This is my third set of Michelin Defender LTX M/S tires. I replaced my LTX M/S tires with LTX M/S 2. MY LTX M/S TIRES LASTED 98,000 MILES AND STILL HAS 4/32" TREAD LEFT! All performance attributes were still great including wet traction and low noise. Replaced them just to be safe. I've not purchased tires anywhere but Tire Rack since 1985 and see no reason to switch tire brands or retailer.

I have been on Michelin's for years and was glad when the non-Michelin dealer tires had to be replaced on my Lexus RX. My local Lexus dealer recommended the LTX M/S and I had excellent prior experience with Michelin LTX tires on other SUVs. Handles great navigating Colorado's mountain passes, even during major snow events. I have pulled other vehicles out of snow banks and ditches as these tires really grip in all kinds of conditions. Very comfortable, smooth ride on dry roads and over long trips. A great all-season tire for paved and dirt roads. Coming up on 30K miles and they still look like-new with even tread-wear. I am diligent about rotating and balancing at recommended mileage intervals.

I got these in 2018, they've been through 6 seasons now. I'll never buy another tire; these are amazing. We have seriously hot summers and seriously cold winters here in the Badlands; temperatures go from +110 to -40. The Defenders haven't even blinked. Snow, ice, off-road, deep mud, highway; they're a great ride with great traction. They're not the quietest tire; then again, if you want a serious all-season tire and tread, noise is something you learn to live with. Quiet tires can't grip for anything. I'm sorry so many others have had issues; these tires have never let me down. I'm hoping they'll still be this good when I need another set.

Original Set- I put 57,000 miles on the tires before replacing with Latitude Tour. The only concern I had was the lack of control in the snow. I did consider snow tires, but for the few days each winter, I chose to not use the vehicle. I have been pleased with the tire in every other way and want to thank Michelin for a Great tire!

These tires came as standard equipment on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. At 85,000 miles they needed to be replaced. The folks at the tire dealer thought I was crazy for putting such expensive tires on an older truck, but I told them that I planned to drive it until this set of tires wear out and I would be making money with the more expensive tire.

My 2003 Ford Expedition now has 160,000 miles and I am now on my second set of LTX M/S. I got about 85,000 miles on the last pair which was a little less then I expected. The winter handling in Minnesota, along with the traction during the off road driving I do make them well worth it. Great handling and fairly quiet too. They do instill confidence in less then ideal conditions.

This tire has performed very well on my E-350 van. The only drawback to date has been the break in period for tire squirm. The tall tread pattern made for soft steering. It took approximately 1,000 miles of driving to break in the tire and now it is functioning much like I had expected.

After 15 years of "Michelin only", thinking I should be more frugal, I ran through two sets of a competitor's brand, never coming close to Michelin's performance or longevity! Before leaving for our summer vacation '10, I put a full set on our all-wheel drive SUV, and the difference was AMAZING ... driving was a pleasure, like a million little fingers were gripping the road as we drove cross-country through Virginia's scenic highways ... the ride was far more comforatble, and fuel economy actually increased! My earlier Michelin sets had always had good tread up to the milage forecast ... not so with "brands X" ... I'm so glad to be back in safe hands ... clearly, my Michelin tires are still the best investment I can make for my family's transportation.
