Hello Lifetime Products Team, We bought this from Wholesale warehouse. Compared to all the things we have assembled, this one was one of the hardest and took pretty much most of the day. Of course, the YouTube Videos by LifeTime crew made it look easy but real one was not that smooth. I don't understand why would plastic holes were not pre-drilled or partial drilled. On top of that instructions were not the best for those steps. For example, it said use the Drill and don't use the Wrench. It actually worked better with the Wrench. Lining up those Drill screws and inserting them were *really* difficult. One of the last steps in Lid assembly seemed to have manufacturing defect as 3 of the 4 holes lined up but 4th was off by couple of mm. It's making that side of the Lid don't close all the way down as expected :-( Sorry, but I will not be able to recommend this to anyone ! SK

I bought this deck box from the Lifetime Retail Store for my deck. It works great, and was very easy to put together. I also really like that it can double as a bench, because we have it on our deck and it works great as storage and an extra place to sit.

Although it’s a nice box you need other tools to assemble this box I thought I had it made till I got to the last part the gas filled shocks ther is no way mine would fit on the little knobs they supplied with the box I finally got them on but don’t expect them to stay on I even used a c clamp to compress them they are junk and of poor quality that’s why I only gave them 3stars but I like the box itself though it’s very nice I hope they’ll send me two shocks that actually fit the way they’re supposed to

There are no starter holes for the screws and most of the parts are shoddy...not thought through and not tested. Poor value for the price point....little to no value if takes two people and a full set of ratchet wrenches and variable speed drill. Why should I add a video when you dont have one for the product....

What great quality!! This is my first time purchasing a Lifetime brand deck box. I ended up buying three of them after I saw how nice they were compared to previous brands I purchased! OMG, the 116 gallon model is a wonderful size. Everything assembled lined up perfectly. 100% recommend this model, and frankly, any Lifetime product! They have an excellent warranty too!

It took me about 2 hours to assemble and the very last item was the connection of the “shock absorbers” that hold the lid up. The first went on with no problem, but the right side wouldn’t go on. The little spring clip was bent in and I couldn’t budge it. Called customer service and Nathan was great. Took my info and is sending me a new one—took less than 5 minutes. And I got a confirming email 1 minute later. Good product and GREAT customer service.

The AAB bolts for the lid support bar will not tighten!! Guess that has been several other reviewer frustration also!! Guess I have to make a trip back to get correct hardware!!! It also looks like the lid support bar and the back not line up with what I think are the areas to drill in the BCK screw. If hardware fit correctly it would be a nice storage!!

I watedfor a very long time for it to come in due it being out of stock. Got it yesterday my son who is very mech.inclined andn me who isn 83 put it together. The instructions could have been clearer but that you look over and easily make clearer. I would give it 5 stars but can only give it 3 or 4 which is still pretty good. The manuf. and quality control should really look into the fact that some holes do not line 4 up properly. My son had a very hard time attaching the bottom and parts of the cover metal strip due to mis-alignments.i never write any reviews but such with such a good reputation that Lifetime has it would behove you to look into this. The box was broken on the ends but no damage inside. We really do love it.

good sturdy box and was well packaged. Easy to put together once i had managed to line the front back and side panels up. The instructions say that they should just click into place, i found that they required a little persuasion to fit together. All in all though a good buy.

Problem #1: the slot for the Lid Support was too small. Had to use strong scissors to enlarge it. Problem #2: the nuts to attach the latch to the lid were impossible to tighten. Carried on, as we don’t plan to lock the box. Problem #3: Four screws DQS to secure the suport to the lid were too large. Used screws we had on hand instead. Problem #4: Holes in hinges for screws DRF too small. Got out the workbench, clamps and drill and carefully enlarged the holes. Problem #5: Realized it would be impossible to attach the hinges to the side panels because of the previously discovered problem with the nuts and bolts BES/AAB. So we had to make a trip to the hardware store to get replacements. We started this project at 9:00 am, thinking we would be finished before the World Cup Final (and the heat of the day as we are in the midst of an extreme heat alert). With all the additional work to find substitutes, fix manufacturing faults and make a trip to the hardware store, (and taking a break to watch the World Cup final and have some lunch) we didn’t finish until 2:30 pm. And we were only able to finish at all because we have a fairly good collection of tools and hardware.
