Honestly this tequila is all about the hype just to take pictures on IG it's not worth it it taste you could taste this one and it doesn't go smooth through your throat and taste is better. If you're going to spend on an expensive tequila I highly recommend Casa Azul over this one anytime of the week because the other one it goes in smoothly you barely even feel the tequila.

I tried This tequila at a friends house, and the quality on this is top. It is worth the price, it is better to enjoy it by itself rather than mixing it with margarita mix. It is really worth the price. It is really smooth and I really enjoy drinking it.

Received a bottle as a gift and I dont want to drink it because I dont want the bottle to end. I have looked at the price of this bottle and I totally understand why. The packaging is nice so it makes for a great gift if you know someone who likes good tequila. It taste great, its a great addition to anyones bar.

I received my first bottle of this as a birthday gift. Since then, I have made sure my bar always includes a bottle of this. A fantastic sipping tequila. The only tequila I prefer for sipping is Cuervo's Mi Familia, which if you haven't tried is a world away from Cuervo's mass market tequila. There is a great high end Mexican restaurant in my town that offers over 100 tequilas. I like to sample new brands, but my go tos are either 1942 or Mi Familia.

this tequila is just so smooth! Most people don't realize how great it is because of its price point and they don't want to spend the money on it. But it really is worth it. A lot of times when you have tequila and might have a slight bite to it. This one does not!

Don Julio 1942 is an old tequila created as a special edition to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the launch of the first Don Julio tequila, in 2002.Don Julio 1942 was created as a special edition to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Don Julio.Because it undergoes a double distillation it has a very smooth texture. After that it is aged for 2 and a half years in white oak barrels that previously contained bourbon and that give it an unmistakable caramel and vanilla flavor.The aroma is very soft, with notes of vanilla and caramel that are complemented by a light touch of cinnamon. Then latter has a strong presence on the palate, where touches of cinnamon, pepper and butter are also appreciated. For me this is the King of Tequilas.

This is a good tequila overall but I gave it 4 stars because at this price range there are others that I prefer. I think the Jose Cuervo Reserva De La familia is more enjoyable. I would appreciate Sams bringing Fortaleza Anejo which I believe is an even better sipping tequila.

I like tequila but Im in love with this don julio 1942! Its very smooth and the bottle looks so luxurious and elegant to me. Its more on the pricier side if you buy shots but the bottle itself is not too expensive for ME to buy. I have seen it go for 119$ which I would pay because it is so good.

DJ-1942 is not for the faint of heart. Both taste and price are towards the high end of what you'll find when it comes to tequila. It's super smooth and has a oaky spice with a fresh agave finish. It's definitely a special occasion tequila so I don't recommend it for mixed drinks. Honestly, you're wasting your money doing that and you'll be better off with a cheaper tequila. But if you're looking to have a fancy night and enjoy top-notch tequila, Don Julio 1942 is your best bet. The bottle pictured is from our 10 year anniversary/engagement night.
