Great shed. Trouble with one part of the install- cust svc was fantastic. He immediately knew the problem-needs to be CLARIFIED in instructions.

Well-made shed!

Installation Woes

The tolerances on the shed is ridiculous. We live in Arizona and even in 80 degree weather the pieces warp and the tolerances for the holes the screws go into are so small that it's impossible to get everything lined up correctly. The designers of this need to increase tolerance levels because it is simply too tight to be workable. Specifically, pieces were warped or not straight which made it difficult to line up the holes or grooves.

Don't Agree with Negative Reviews

I bought this this to replace a rickety old tin shed that came with the house when we bought it. It was sitting on a 12x15 concrete pad so I wanted one that was bigger than what was available in the store (10x8). I ordered it and it arrived about a week and a half later. You will have to coordinate delivery with the shipping agent--they will call you to arrange a delivery date/time. The shed arrived on a Tuesday afternoon and I finished assembling it by the following Friday. My 13 year old son and I worked off and on to get it done. The instructions suggest three adults put this together. That is not an overstatement. Help is not optional! I would recommend strongly setting aside a place to organize and inventory all the hardware bags. They are clearly labeled and there are many! Do NOT open the bags until you are ready to use them. Only count out the parts you need for each step in the instructions. Seems like common sense, but it will save headaches down the road. I had no issues with missing parts. The instructions are fairly idiot proof. It's worthwhile checking out the LIFETIME youtube videos on assembly as well to get a picture of what you are getting into. The assembly starts with the roof trusses and doors before you even get to laying out the floor. The floor goes together fairly quickly. The walls and roof take the majority of time. Also, because you are working with plastic, things won't always line up or fit together initially. I would emphasize to ensure that where you are putting the shed is LEVEL. I know the pad I put it on wasn't 100% level and it caused some misalignment with screw holes. Had to do some "manipulating" to get things 100% in alignment. Patience and a little wiggle here and there generally will do the trick. Overall, putting this together, while time consuming (I'm guessing probably16-20 hours), was not a huge challenge. Not sure I would elect to build one in the middle of summer again. As seen in the posted photo, didn't put the shutters on yet because it was approaching 100. I'll add them later. I'm sure this will serve its purpose for many years to come.
