This shed is exactly what I needed. Inside I have a riding mower, two adult bicycles, two fully loaded wire shelving units, and many other miscellaneous tools. With all this, I still have room to move around. After reading several reviews, I decided to have someone assemble my shed. He was very professional and did an excellent job. This service was provided through Sam's Club. Cost, $268. Well worth it. A friend and I built the platform. We built the platform a few inches larger than the plans suggest. Thinking the shed is 12.5 x 8. My shed's measurements are, 12'4 1/4” x 7'9 5/8”. I recommend using the plans measurements. This would allow a little over hang. Which is what you want for rain run off. I simply used a silicone caulk to seal the gap between the platform and the shed. The doors are a little snug. Over all, this Lifetime shed is great!  The person who assembled my shed said that he has seen Lifetime sheds that are 15 years old look nearly new. This reassured me in the purchase of my shed.

The perfect shed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this storage shed a month ago and I am very happy. The instructions manual could be better. The delivery from Costco was terrible. The two big boxes was deliver in the street at the bottom of the laneway. Plus I live on a heel. He did not even ring the bell. So the 77 yrs old guy needed friends to bring the two boxes in the garage.

Love this shed. My husband and I are in our 60s and we built this shed ourselves, just the two of us. We spent the first day just building the parts like the trusses, doors, etc. Then put it together the next day. Some of the instructions were a tad confusing, but we figured it out. Of course, filling it up was the super fun part.

Sturdy and Stylish!

All parts were correctly included in the shipment and assembled very well.  The instructions are very detailed and clear.  Hint - read them carefully!  Overall we're very pleased.  A very stable and level base has much to do with how well all the parts will go together.

Great Quality

Instructions are well done, but you really have to pay attention and assume nothing. For example, when assembling the trusses, the nuts and bolts are shown the way they should be done, but it's easier to put the nut on the other side from where it's shown. Seems like it does not matter, but you find out that it does later on.  Also, they tell you about sliding the walls into the slots, but you better be really sure you use your rubber hammer to get them all the way in those slots or you will pay the price when you get to the corner pieces. The corner pieces are a real "joy" to get in as well and I don't have any tips for improving that frustrating step. The "skylites" will sweat and drip on your stored items. I'd rather not have them.  I'd have given 5 stars if they added more tips to the instructions so I wouldn't have made the few mistakes I made. Product is otherwise great so far - 2 months in place as of this writing 12/18/2020.

More tips would be helpful.

I really like this shed.  We have now assembled it twice, as the first one blew down in a 140mph derecho, which is understandable as it is only rated for up to 65mph winds.  The only reason I gave it 4 stars, is that both times we assembled it there was a part of the front door assembly that we needed to secure by drilling our own holes and use our own hardware.  Otherwise it works very well for what we need.  I like the 12.5x8 size and the placement of the door.  I would recommend buying more shelf brackets upon purchase, as there is lots of space for shelves, but not many come with the kit.

Great size for a shed.

This is a really great shed BUT the instructions on how to put it together are terrible!!  We had to put the set up and take it down 3 times while we were in the process of completing this shed.  It came out good but it took 3 days of frustration to put it up.

Great Shed BUT Horrible Instructions!!!

We had a couple issues that held us up. Door was missing a key part. Then during the build we noticed screws not staying tight. We got oversized screws and new door handles. Both times it took 5 days. So Overall it took us 2.5 weeks to install the shed. I would of sent the shed back but since I got it on sale.

Not as bad as others say..

Do not attempt to build this shed on your own unless you have plenty of time and patience. Directions are hard to follow, parts are poorly labeled and hard to identify. In addition, I was missing parts and had to wait 5 days to have them shipped. Be prepared to frame and build your own deck if you are not attaching to a concrete pad. Then you have to buy all of the lumber and fastening hardware.

Big project

I bought the shed and built it a month ago to replace an old shed.  We had two people who helped my husband and I build the shed that have built their own shed in the past.  Both of them could not understand the directions.  None of the parts were labeled so we had to measure the parts before construction to figure out the labels.  The boxes also had no clear thought to how they were packed as part of the floor was in one box and the other part was in the second box.  We did get the shed together but don't believe the box when it says it will take you a few hours.  It works for what we wanted but there are improvements that should be made.
