[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The verdict on this one is that no one in our party was a fan of this merlot. The aroma matched perfectly with the flavor! Fruity and dry was the overall consensus of the flavors in this wine. It had a very bitter aftertaste and a bit of a burn. This paired with a blueberry goat cheese and a brie, which actually went well with the wine, though the wine was not a good enough flavor to warrant a second glass or the desire to purchase this again. It’s a no for these wine connoisseurs!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This merlot has a wonderfully, strong fruit flavor with a fruit aroma. I enjoyed that it wasn't acidic and allowed me to slowly sip it with my dinner. I had it with squash and carrots (I know, but I'm eating healthy). I would definitely drink the merlot again after work, with dinner or any time I need to relax.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot was definitely different than any wine I have ever had due to being barrel-aged. I am not a rum fan but the notes of rum added to the merlot were subtle. This is not a sweet red wine and it is a little on the drier side. Overall it had a great flavor. We did not have it with food, we enjoyed it as we were preparing our meal and chatting as we did so.

I enjoyed this wine with some imported German chocolate. It does leave a dry taste in your mouth. One of my guests preferred eating stuffed olives with it.

This Cabernet Sauvignon aged in Bourbon barrels jumps out of the glass with aromas of blackberries, crackers, brown sugar, milk chocolate, coffee, and smoke. The taste of blueberry pie, praline, sweet vanilla custard, caramel, and mocha is framed by soft, chewy tannins and a hint of toasted oak in a long aftertaste. I recommend it for long winter evenings)))

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the first time trying Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot . I found the color a nice deep red with a nice fruit aroma. The flavor was smooth, a bit tart yet with a sweet finish. I paired this wine with Aged Gouda, Asiago as well as Salami, Pepperoni and Rosemary Olive Oil Crackers. I will surely be adding this wine to my personal collection to serve at brunch and get togethers. I highly recommend this wine.

Robert Mondavi Private Selection Rum Barrel Aged Merlot is well balanced and I enjoy serving it with desserts. On this tasting occasion I served it with A Spiced Rum Cake, excellent choice. The Merlot is dark Ruby in color, It has the aroma of plum, molasses, maple, and vanilla. The taste is full bodied with a lush long finish of a mixture of vanilla, plum, blueberry, cherry, toasted coconut, and spices. I will be buying this again.
