[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Barrel Aged Merlot is a complex and bold flavor which I really enjoyed. The traditional merlot flavor comes through with a fruity, indulgent flavor, but the barrel aging technique builds the complexity with a sweeter lush flavor with hints of vanilla that take this merlot to the next level. We had served brisket earlier in the evening with a Cab and then opened this after the meal.

It is a wonderful dry red wine that is rich and full-bodied with a hint of toffee and a sweet and spicy aroma of oak. It pairs very well with steak and other meats. It is mid-priced and great for taking to parties. I would recommend this wine.

It was delicious and different! You definitely get hints of stone fruit but the rum barrel provides a unique addition to a traditional Merlot. I loved it with a roast and root veggies!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had a wine tasting party with our neighbors in the backyard. Everyone enjoyed drinking the merlot. The aroma was buttery and acidic. The color was nice and bright. The flavor was smooth and it paired well with crackers, strong cheese, salami and pepperoni. The was my neighbor's favorite wine. They are planning on purchasing it the next time they go to the store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a marriage of my favorite's. I love a classic rum and a tasty Merlot, so this checks several boxes with the way it was aged. I picked up the molasses and vanilla that is common in rum and also get a great plum flavor from the Merlot. I would also call this a lighter Merlot. Overall this is really a get tasting wine with an excellent price point.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robert Mondavi Rum Barrel-Aged Merlot is a middle of the road dry wine. Definitely need to open and let it breathe. This will take the bite off if you aren’t a dry wine drinker. I would buy for my dry wine drinking friends.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] to be honest I was so excited because I just was ready for just versatile flavoring goodness LOL but instead it smelled terrible like salmon and mud and dirt and grass all mixed together and then they burnt something in there I'm sorry it was disgusting wasn't feeling it at all no I will not be enjoying it because I didn't enjoy it in the present so there will be no future.

It was a very delicious wine that went down smoothly and left me wanting more. I had some cheese and crackers and it was fantastic with it. I loved the aroma and would love a perfume with the same scent.
