We bought this rice on our last visit to Sam’s. We often eat rice with chicken, fish and even tacos. The price and the large container caught our eye. We typically buy the Vigo brand from the grocery store. We have also tried many other brands. This brand far exceeds all the others not only in flavor but also in texture. It smells very nice as it cooks. The result is fluffy well seasoned rice without feeling like it has too much salt. We also like that we can make a small amount for two people. We will continue to purchase this rice.

]I saw this at Sam's and my family has always liked the saffron rice in the golden mylar bags. So I thought I'd take a chance. Unfortunately the first time I made some for the family I only made one cup of dry rice mix. It didn't have much flavor. So it took a while before I made more, but when I was preparing to make it I noticed that the seasoning was all at the bottom of the container. So I turned it upside down and shook it for a couple of minutes. Wow what a difference. So if you're buying or thinking about it just remember to turn it over and shake it real good. If you do you'll find you've purchased a really good saffron rice mix that you can keep in the pantry for use anytime.

Just discovered this at the club. I see that reviews for it date back 5 years, but pretty sure it is a new item for our club. Took the advice from previous review to SHAKE THE JUG before using, and then, even though it wasn't on the directions did a 1:1 rice mix to water ratio in our rice cooker. Came out great! Mixed a tablespoon of butter in at the end (since it was mentioned on stovetop directions on jug) and even better. Both husband and I practically inhaled it...a nice change to mix up meals. :)

I bought this recently, opened to use yesterday, and upon peeling of the protective cover, I found a THIN PIECE OF WIRE SEVERAL INCHES LONG in it !! Contacted the Company IMMEDIATELY and as of 24 hours later, NO RESPONSE ! Imagine if I hadn't seen it and gone ahead and prepared....someone could have choked and possibly died from ingesting it !!! The flavor of this product is excellent but SAFETY??????

Tough texture and playdough-like taste

Love this rice. Use to make spanish rice or your own twist to it. Very tasty.

Great base for paella and rice casserole. Very easy to use and delicious.

It was Ok, I think the Viigo brand is better tasting.

No real flavor thought it was Rice a Roni
