Needed to replace at 33k miles, tires at 4/32 tread

I cannot recommend these tires. They came OEM with my Acura MDX 2015 (105h green x latitude hp tour) and now in June 2017, I have been told that I need to replace these. The news one have a tread depth of 10/32 and mine are at 4/32 after 2.5 years and 33k miles only. This is sub-par performance. I don't see anything amazing about braking distance or wet road performance, so I cannot comment about that. MDX is a fairly big 3 row SUV, so we've used it as family car and not for joy riding, hard braking or hard acceleration.

Amazing Tires

I always put the LTX A/T2 tires on my truck since the first time I tried them. For the large truck I have it's amazing how quiet they are on the road with such an agressive tread pattern and how quickly they will get you out of the mud or any other slippery situation. They also wear very evenly and last longer than any other tire I've ever tried. I don't usually do a review of tires. These are the first that I've ever really bragged about and I'll always go back to them when I need tires for the truck.

I have been a long time ...

I have been a long time Michelin customer. I purchased a new vehicle in 2007 and did not have 30,000 miles on the tires that came on that vehicle. If they were Michelins, as on my past vehicles, I know those tires would have lasted 60,000 miles. I will never buy anything but Michelin. I am a very satisfied long term customer. Michelin is a great product!

MICHELIN® LTX® A/T2

MICHELIN® LTX® A/T2 - 20,000 miles of highway driving on a 60,000 mile tire and the tire is down to 6/32" from 16.5/32" or worn to a level of greater than 40,000 miles. I slid down a 2% incline on snow, made me check my tires. SUPRISE! I thought Michelin was a good tire, it came on my 2015 Silverado 2500. This is the second time Michelin has failed. Put Michelins on the my 2002 Sierra and only got about 40,000 on those. Go figure Michelin?

Great Highway Tire, Decent Off-Pavement

We replaced the stock tires on our 2017 Ram 2500 4x4 Diesel with a set of these at about 38k miles. The Transforces were nearly bald. We started a year long journey travel nursing. We pulled a 9k lb bumper pull camper & had the camper shell & truck loaded full every time we moved. Overall, we pulled the camper about 10k miles, cross country. The tires performed well enough to get the camper into slick spots in the Redwood forests. We pulled the camper through some snow over the Rockies into Montana. While not moving campsites, we did plenty of road trips, ended up in sand & snow, & put a lot of dirt road miles on them. While not a true off-road tire, driven carefully, we got in & out of lots of places that really should have had a more capable vehicle. We are nearing the end of their life with 94k miles on the truck. They should hold true to their 60k mile warranty, plus 5k or so more. I always recommend these for highway/commuter trucks. They've been wearing good, rotating & balancing about every 15k miles. People are impressed when I tell them we are close to 60k miles on them with such a heavy truck. I only wish that Michelin made a commercial, true all-terrain. Being back home, the truck will spend more time in the fields & woods, while seeing a bit of commuting & towing. I need something a bit more aggressive. That being said, I chose the right tire for the job & we are happy.

Rock Solid

I own a 2007 Toyota FJ cruiser. I did a lot of research prior to buying the LTX to replace the OEM tires which never exactly gave me confidence one off-roading. Like the vast majority of four-wheel-drive vehicle owners over 95% of my miles were put on driving paved roads. However when I do off-road Ing it is usually in rocky and mountainous country. I was looking for a tire that would give me a somewhat comfortable ride with a low noise level and yet perform off-road. This tire certainly did the trick for me. I have put close to 70,000 miles on them. I rotate and balance about every 8k and still have approx 15k useful miles left on them.

Best tire investment I have ever made!

Michelin LTX A/T2, 285-75R16, load range E, mounted on my 2002 Ford F250SD, 7.3 diesel, auto, 4WD, SRW. I installed these tires in 2011, with 172,000 miles on the vehicle. Right front wheel bearing and right side ball joints had been replaced at about 150,000 miles. At 252,000 miles, the fronts were showing strange wear patterns related to worn parts, so I moved rears to front, and installed new on the rear. Now, with 272,000+ miles, it is probably time to replace the old pair, which now have over 100,000 miles on them. I've never had a flat. Loaded to 14,000 GVW, with 5th wheel trailer, 32,000 GCW. Don't know what more you could expect.

Incredable Tire

I ran the LTX M/S on my 2001 F150, I went through 3 sets of tires averaging 130000 miles per set, the truck had 526000 miles on it when I replaced it and the last set still had serviceable tread. I now have a 2014 f150 and replaced the factory skins with LTX at 54000, i'm looking forward to 100k plus miles on them on this truck as well. Traction was great in rain or snow, no noise and a comfortable ride.

Best tires I've ever had.

I have found that my truck handles better, corners smoother and braking has greatly improved. I have 206,000 miles on my truck so I know the differance between Michelins and other tires. I will always use Michelins from now on. The funny part is the Michelins were an upgrade when the tires I had were recalled, the shop could not get the replacement tires for me so they upgraded me to my Michelins. I couldn't be happier.
