Clean right out of the package. No sticks or pebbles. Best dry beans, hands down.

I tried a variety of beans and found this to be the perfect bean for red beans and rice. I have used many times over and over again.

I like how quickly these beans cook without having to soak them. 4-5 hours simmering and they are done.

I grew up on New Orleans food and Monday was my favorite day of the week -- not only was it "laundry day", it was also "Camellia red beans and rice day". As an adult living on the northeast coast and the southwest coast I've tried many different dried red kidney beans. None compare to the smooth and creaminess Camellia Red Bean.

I've only used these red kidney beans to make red beans and rice...so far, but it's so good people ask for the recipe. I kind of made up my recipe, but I do specify that it won't be right without Camellia brand red kidney beans and plenty of Crystal brand hot sauce in the beans and on the cooked rice. I make a big batch with a smoked ham hock, andouille sausage and a stick of butter. I parcel out what's left and put it in the freezer and it freezes beautifully! Then, take out what you need the next time and gently thaw in the microwave, then put in a frying pan with a little water and cook gently. I live just North of Seattle, but you'd never know it when you eat my red beans and rice. Thank you Camellia brand!

I stepped outside the Instant Pot rules and I soaked my Camellia Red Kidney beans over night. I followed the recipe and pressure cooked for 10 minutes with QR added the (browned and cooked) sausage and pressure cooked for another 15 minutes. CREAMY AND PERFECTLY COOKED AND SEASONED. My coworkers loved em for our Mardi Gras lunch!!!!! Camellia beans are the best beans ever!!!!
