Camellia Beans are the absolute best. They always cook up creamy and delicious. Just wish they were a little cheaper...ouch...they are almost becoming a luxury. Purchased these for a repast.

The beans were at the bottom of the shipping box. They were packaged in bags, not boxes, and Sam's placed heavy items in the same box with these soft packs. As a result, the bags broke and beans spilled everywhere. FedEx should have returned the package, as it was obvious the contents were not properly contained inside the box.

Was not fresh

Expected better from supposed premium brand. Size of beans varies greatly, color is mostly light brown, some are wrinkled and some are sprouting. On the plus side the taste is good. I ordered 4 bags. Upon arrival 3 of the bags were completely destroyed and the beans were in the bottom of the shipping box. This was partly due to Sam's packing heavy canned items in the same box as these soft packs - partly due to weak bags used by bean supplier.

I like how quickly these beans cook without having to soak them. 4-5 hours simmering and they are done.

Camellia red beans have the best texture. These are my go-to beans for anything that requires red kidney beans. These beans are the best for red beans and rice.

First met your product in 1990 in a NOLA Schwegmnans grocery store & have never looked back. Theres no reason to use beans sourced from any other retailer. None. Do yourself a favor & source all your beans from this company. You will never regret it
