[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved a free tub of Country Crock original for review purposes. I have to say country crock has always been my favorite spreadable butter type product to use for buttering muffins,toast,quick breads, grilled cheese and other items where you will taste the spread. I love the new tub. It is stackable with cream cheese tubs or other country crocks, fits neatly in the refridgerator and takes up less space. The tubs also make excellant reusable containers after the spread is gone. Wrap in colored contact paper or spray with chalkboard spray paint and use for buttons or other small items or just keep with your other food storage containers and it is great for left over sauces or veggis that don't get finished at dinner.

First I would like to say I was given this product for free to test, however, I am given my own opinion about this. Country Crock is great. I absolutely love the size of the tube and it makes storing and using VERY easy. Next, Country Crock is smooth and makes my veggies and cookies very tasty. I tried the Chicken and Veggies Chili recipe from online and I loved it. I also baked sugar cookies and my cookies came out nice and golden. Lastly, I like how there is not to many calories in it and most importantly, no artificial flavors. Overall, I will continue to use this product for all of my cooking uses.

However, I do prefer to use actual butter and not buttery "spreads" which is why I give this product lower markings. I received a free product for my unbiased review.

As an extreme butter lover who doesn't stray much from the "real thing" I was happy with how this product worked and tasted, especially in cooking. I really like the simple ingredients list as well. I do not care for the new recipe. I have used Country Crock for over 30 years and immediately after opening the new package and having a quick taste, I knew the flavor was off and it did not taste good in my opinion. Being that the overwhelming reviews are 1 star for the new recipe, I would say the Country Crock has made a gigantic error. This is a blunder that equals the massive mistake made by Coke thirty years ago when coming out with New Coke. I have now switched to Blue Bonnet. It still tastes decent and will work. Hopefully Country Crock will reformulate and get a taste that is closer to the Original Crock.

Our favorite way to use it is to spread it on piping hot fresh out of the oven homemade biscuits! This product is one of the items in my recent influenster box to try for free which is very appreciated. I am happy to share my honest opinion of this product and I recommend trying it.
