I prefer the real thing. Country Crock original is one of the better tasting butter substitutes around. It does leave a slightly oily film in your mouth if you eat it straight (like on toast) but works well in baked goods. I can't get baked goods to brown as nicely as they do with real butter and some recipes taste artifical but it does mix well and

It didn't get a good review just because I got it for free, I just really love this spread! No matter the temperature, it always spreads so smoothly and tastes delicious. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love the taste of Country Crock. It has a creamy, buttery taste to it. I like that it has no trans-fats and no canola oil. It spreads very easily on bread without destroying the bread in the process. Best of all, I can cook and bake with it and my food still comes out tasting great. The new space saving design is nice as well as it doesn't take up unneeded space.

Great new shape, horrible new taste. The margarine turned into a gelatinous ooze which stuck to my bologna and ruined it. Why would you change something claiming Original flavor to something that isn't. Weren't you people around when they changed Coke to New Coke? Change it back please!
