Baking with it, everything turned out fine. However, when I fried things in it, you could tell a difference in taste. Usually people stay loyal to the brands they grew up with. This is not the same formula I grew up with from the 80's. Maybe if you've never had the "original", you don't know what you're missing. It's a shame. My crackers, toast, and cornbread taste horrible. I can't stand the taste of real butter or margarine. Hopefully they will bring it back.

I've used it in many recipies, and on our toast and waffles. I had no idea it would work so well for baking. Great product. Country Crock was a staple in my grandmother's house and continues to be a staple in home today. Some of my grandmother's recipes don't taste nearly as good with a substitute. Country Crock is the only margarine I'll use, no one competes with their superior taste.

I melted a few tablespoons to give my pancakes the creamy consistency I was looking for. I added some to kick up my homemade mashed potatoes and lastly, it provided the delicacy I wanted for my chocolate chip pecan cookies! My family was very pleased with this product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this! My husband is the type of person that finds something he likes and then doesn't give anything else much of a chance. I put this original Country Crock in the fridge and when he was out of the regular butter he uses, he took this. After one time using it he was hooked. He commented how much easier it was to spread on his bread. How the taste is as good or better then his normal brand. My husband is Dutch and he eats a lot of bread! He uses this with jelly, honey, during cooking or on baked potatoes. We will be Country Crock customers from now on. If you haven't tried it, I would suggest it. We was sent this particular tub in exchange for sharing our unbiased opinion of it. My husband and I both love it!
