My shrimp scampi, pancakes and cookies are the best when made with country crock. I love the sticks for baking also so easy and convenient. I am very happy with the product and the new recipe.

I don't prefer country crock to regular real butter but I like to keep it on hand. I prefer to use it when I am spreading butter or when I need it to melt fast. On toast, Potatoes.. I don't really like to bake with it, some might but I prefer real butter to do that with. It has a good flavor. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this product to test out a basic cookie recipe and was pleasantly surprised! I typically use regular butter for all of my baking. Regular, stick butter can be hard to work with. You have to bring it to room temp, etc, etc, and as a mom of two toddlers I really don't have time for that. As a result, my cookies are usually misshapen because of the cold butter that I mix in. But this spread was instantly creamy and super easy to incorporate into the sugar mixture. I have honestly never seen such smooth, creamy cookie batter. And the uniformity, texture, and taste of the baked cookies are out of this world. This will be a new cooking staple in my home for sure!

I used this spread in mac and cheese as I always have and my kids refused to eat it. They said it smelled funny and tasted gross. They normally gobble it down... so I made peanut butter and butter sandwiches not realizing the butter was "gross". One ended up on the floor and the other in the trash. I decided to make chocolate chip cookies with my Country Crock. My son ate them first and asked what I did different because they tasted better than usual. The only difference was that I used country crock. I had to try a cookie for myself and he was right. This will definetly be the spread we use from now on in my house.

I really like it because it is so easy to spread and it tastes great. I use it as a substitute for butter and I put it on almost everything. I use it on mashed potatoes, bread, stuffing, and green beans and it adds flavor. I would definitely buy this again.

Last week we purchased the new recipe, didn't really pay attention that it said new recipe at the time, just a new container. At dinner time we thought that our mashed potatoes had a bad taste and thought it must have been a bad bag of potatoes. The next morning made toast bread with butter and now know it was not the potatoes. It tastes so bad we didn't even finish the container, threw it away and are in the process of trying other brands. If anything they could have came out with a second option for those that wanted more healthy, or what ever reason they thought they needed to change to recipe. Can only hope they go back to the original recipe.
