[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Country Crock Original again. I remembered seeing the big tub in the fridge when I was younger, but had not had it in years. It's still creamy with a buttery taste and not too bad nutrition-wise. I am glad I was able to try this for review purposes because it has made me aware of how great it still is.

I always and will always buy this product! It has a soft smooth texture leaving every bite delicious and full of flavor! If you haven’t given a try you should!

Each time the tub is half full or less there is water in the butter. I pour it off and use it put it back in the fridge. I pull it out later and have to dump more water out. i was told it was the one with the Calcium. So now I bought the original to see if it is the Calcium one.

I enjoyed having it on crackers, bread, and some popcorn as well. It is very delicious, and there is something so special about its taste that I am truly addicted to.

Growing up, my grandmother always used Country Crock, and I loved the taste. But with the concerns with partially hydrogenated oils, I never bought it. With this new recipe, I love that I can get all the great nutrition of a dairy-free spread without worrying about the trans fats. And the taste? It's grandma's home cooking. :)

I recieved the country crock original for free in exchange for my honest reviews and i really enjoyed substituting this for butter. I am a calorie counter, and this product made me happy! I made an eggless shortbread cookie with this and it came out really well! I will definitely repurchase this! I also do use this with my bread and I really can not tell the difference between butter and this one! Who wants all the fat from butter, when you have this!

This has always been a staple in our kitchen as I was growing up, and it still is in my own kitchen now. It spreads on bread without ripping it, and it tastes great. It makes for a good crust on a grilled cheese and it melts well on warm dinner rolls.

I've been using this product for over 20 years and loved it...until now. How can you justify calling this Country Crook Original? If it's a NEW RECIPE then it's no longer the ORIGINAL! When I purchased the new product I didn't notice the "New Recipe" stamp. It wasn't until I made breakfast for the family that we noticed a foul taste in everything we made with it. We ended up throwing out our entire breakfast (which on weekends is WAS our favorite meal) and the tub of Country Crook. It's such a shame that you didn't introduce a new line of products and leave the old ones alone. This way you could let your consumers decide before taking away what was obviously a loved recipe. Another big company changed the recipe back in the 80s and it caused a huge backlash. I hope that this company learns fast!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had never used Counrty Crock spread for baking. I had only ever used it as a spread on top of things. It was very creamy and had a very real buttery taste. I used the cookie recipe "Make It Yours" . We loved them.

Country Crock Original's New Simple Recipe has an overpowering taste that runs a bit too sweet. My family and I have used Country Crock for twenty years and unfortunately will be looking to change for the first time due to this new taste. All members of my household are complaining and actually avoiding use of the new recipe.
