I have used this for years and loved it, until they changed the recipe. It tastes bad on everything I've tried -grilled cheese, toast, french bread & coating pans for cooking.I wont bother using it in my homemade breads .It MOLDS quickly ( & it was in the frig,), it smells bad , if you leave it out for anytime it turns to liquid. Country Crock ruined a good product -I tried original & calcium plus

I am a full fledge stick butter girl, that is until i tried a tub of the original Country Crock butter. It did everything I needed it to while still being convenient. Spreading it on my childs toast in the morning was the best. It melted fast and didn't tear the bread! It's the simple things. Last but not least the design of the tub was easy for storage in my fridge.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I picked this up for a cookie recipe, through Influenster, I think the best use is on toast (especially if you don't have the patience for hard butter to soften so it will spread). I'd had this growing up, but have been almost exclusively using real butter since becoming an adult and living on my own. The cookie recipe (the Make It Your Own from Country Crock) was easy, and the cookies came out looking and tasting great, even my butter loving doubting Thomas of a best friend, who reluctantly tried the cookies, agreed that they tasted good. I'm not going to lie and say that you get the full buttery taste, or texture that you get by using real butter, but if you are looking for a better price, are trying to restrict your butter intake, or love to have toast this is probably perfect for you. I think this is much better for toast if you are in a hurry because personally I hate how cold butter tears up my toast, and what the microwave does to the butter and the toast if you try to soften the butter to spread.

I've purchased Country Crock brand margarine since the 1980s. I use it for my Christmas cookie recipes which call for margarine and have never had an issues until this year. Sometime during the pandemic they must have changed this "original" spread. It ruined every batch of cookies I used it in this year. It turned all the cookie dough runny like pancake batter! "Original" ?! Nope, they changed it, and I'll never purchase this brand again. Hopefully this will save others the time and expense.

I will be the first to admit that I have a hard time of "trying new things" sometimes and that includes things like butter. I used Country Crock over the weekend on my toast. The butter spread easily and evenly and tasted great! I did not even feel guilty using "original" instead. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are butter users.  All day long.  Cinnamon toast in the morning, mac n cheese or grilled cheese for lunch and pasta or baked potatoes for dinner.  This new product made every one of those meals easier and better.  The ease of spreading (no tearing of their toast!!), melting and just yumminess is wonderful.  And I love the new shape.  Compact, and stackable (because we won't be buying just one at a time)!  

I received a voucher for this product complimentary from Influenster. I normally use stick butter but I was willing to try the tub of Original Country Crock. I love how smooth and easy it had spread onto my toast and worked very well in my daily cooking. I think I will try the lite version next!
