If you've never tried a substitute for butter, why not try the original substitute? Country crock is distinct and if you have milk allergies this is a good alternative. I got the buttery churn flavor because I wanted more fluff in my margarine. If you've had margarine in the past, you know it's got a nostalgic taste that is hard to describe. If you've never tried it, imagine never having to wait for margarine to soften at room temp or try cheating it in the microwave to cook. Or never having to pierce your bread because it's smooth to spread. Margarine gets 5 stars from me because it's convenient, nostalgic taste, and better on my milk allergy tummy.

And unfortunately, Country Crock isn't that one. This is my first time using Country Crock Original and I'm not overly impressed with it. Mostly, I've used it to cook with. I'll add some of the Country Crock Original to my pan and then cook chicken, eggs, or whatever i'm cooking at the moment. It works decently enough for that. However, using it any other way, I'm just not impressed with the taste of it. It's quite oily at times and has made my bagel and toast very soggy. With small kids, sometimes measuring the butter is a hard task. This product made measuring easy for them because all they had to do was scoop with a spoon and put into a measuring cup. Getting kids involved in the measuring process I have found is crucial for them to know fractions and proper kitchen mixing techniques. A photo below is what wa left over after baking with kids. The cookies did not stand a chance!!

We are on a low sodium diet and the Light has one of the lowest amounts of sodium that is affordable. It also has great flavor and works well with baking. I love the way it melts when you put on English muffins, it melts just perfectly into the little nooks and crannies. Country crock is a trusted brand, and has been for ages!

The Original Country Crock spread has a great taste. Almost like butter. Its very creamy and easy to spread. I use it for all my cooking. We made grilled cheese for lunch and it crisped the edges perfectly. I use it in my eggs and on my toast . my son has allergies and I use country crock for his needs. I enjoy the original it feels likes home. I recieved a free sample for a unbiased review.

I love how smooth this Country Crock is. In the past I have purchased "spreadable" types of margarine or butter, yet they are still not smooth to spread. I don't want my bread or biscuits to come apart when spreading butter. This Country Crock is the smoothest yet. The taste, however, is just a little bland to me. It doesn't taste bad...it's just not as flavorful as others.

My husband and I basically expected that it would, so this was welcome news. I love how soft and easy to spread this product is. I received this product complimentary for review purposes.

I received this product for free through influenster, and I must say that it is pretty good. I don't usually use butter or other spreadable products in my daily use since I tend to lean toward dry foods. But Country Crock has changed my views. It's not too sweet and give enough richness to improve the quality of food.
